I have a very hard to reach projector (17' above the floor) that takes a C13 plug. This cable allowed me to plug in a small DC 5V adapter on the same power supply using the NEMA 5-15R output while still powering the projector of the same C13 supply (using the C14 to accept the original C13 and then passing the split C14 to the projector). Suffice to say my situation was quite specific and this splitter cable was the perfect option to avoid running more power to an out-of-the-way location. Very happy with the end result using this cable.
