They are solid peppermint. They are NOT spoons coated in peppermint.

Q: How many in a package and are they individually wrapped?

As of 11/22/2021 these spoons are blister-foil-wrapped as a singular group of six, in one package. In other words, there are six candy canes in one package, each in its own blister-seal, but all contained within the same tray. Not helpful if you are using them for goodie bags or trying to drop them off on individual co-workers' desks, because you would have to cut them all out first, and that would leave sharp edges and look super ghetto. Also, because they are a food item, the seller doesn't accept returns.

Q: Are they strong enough to use for an ice cream sundae?

If they don't soak in the ice cream causing them to melt---but are sereved on the side---I think they would be strong enough. I bought them as a gift for my friend to use with her grandchildren in hot chocolate. I was surprised at how strong they were. Wanda M.
