VERY SHARP
I HAVE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED MY MANDOLINE, BUT BEWARE OF HOW SHARP IT REALLY IS. ON MY 1ST TRY AT SLICING POTATOES FOR SCALLOPS I MANAGED TO CUT A BIG CHUNK OUT OF MY THUMB. OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE IT.

Excellent starter
I thought buying a mandolin would be simple. It wasn't. After scrolling through reviews on many different sites, I gave up. Saw this one and was thrilled. The catch container is a must. Most $150 versions didn't have this feature. It allows you to easily slide the handle without struggling to support the mandolin while applying pressure. It catches your slicings in a clean container. $150 models just let the slicings go all over. Very safe for your hands and fingers.

Disappointed
I only rated this item with one star, and that is being generous.I was very disappointed with my purchase. The only thing Ihad any success in cutting or slicing, was my thumb.I would not recommend this to anyone.

Be careful when you go to wash it...bled like a stuck pig!!

Works well
This mandoline works very well, all the parts have a snug fit. My only complaint is that the handle doesn't fit in the bowl for storage.
