It makes it very easy to put in tablet holding devices. It appears like it gives it some protection. I do like the upgrade to this one made by the same brand that is still very thin but unfortunately a lot of the things I need it for have to be under half an inch so this one works out the best. I hope this company continues to make super thin cases as they are very helpful for production of videos through a tablet with a different equipment. This tablet case fits my Samsung A7 tablet like a glove. It doesn't add much bulk or weight. I like it because it makes it easier to hold the tablet securely. The sides of this cover have raised edges to help with this. And it adds some protection, though not for the screen itself.
