Love it for a quick toasted sandwich for lunch or breakfast. i put a little melted butter on the bread before toasting, put cooked ham in the tray and set to toast\egg.when finished heating the ham and toasting the bread i add a slice of cheese for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich at lunch. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is I think the tray for water should be removable also for easier cleaning. It's not difficult though just wipe it out. The other pieces can go in the top shelf of the dishwasher. Or wash by hand because I use it more than i run the dishwasher. least expensive fast food around. And I made it myself in just minutes.

This was an anniversary gift. I had been afraid that it wouldn't get used as is often the case with a counter appliance. But they actually use it about 3 times a week and they love it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because she mentioned that the fry pans are not non-stick and are so little that it's hard to get your egg out of there without doing some scraping. So, over time, she's sure they will have to replace the pans as other reviewers have said. All in all, it was a good price and made for a very nice gift for them both - it's gotten my son-in-law to eat breakfast!

This was purchased as a gift for my son who will be starting college soon. So far, we have used it a handful of times to try it out, and I must admit to having a bit of toaster envy. The toaster function works well, and the separate adjustments are convenient for toasting different types of breads at the same time. When poaching eggs, we found that brushing the pans with a bit of olive oil worked quite well for preventing sticking, but you might have better luck with a good quality nonstick spray. You will want a small, preferably silicone, spatula for helping to remove the eggs from the pan when done. We also attempted hardboiled eggs, and this was a bit of a mess on our first attempt. The toaster includes a small measuring cup for water and a prong for poking the egg shells prior to hard boiling, which is convenient since the amount of water added to the steaming tray determines the level of doneness for your eggs. When we punctured the shells prior to cooking them, however, some of the egg expanded out of the hole, causing a mess. On our next attempt, we will attempt a few with more shallow punctures and a few without puncturing at all. Despite the mess, however, the eggs did cook to the desired level of doneness and actually peeled much more easily than traditionally boiled eggs. The toaster does include a tray for steaming breakfast meats, but this is only for meats that require warming rather than actual cooking prior to consumption. (Think precooked ham or precooked sausage patties.). We did not try that function, since we do not eat meat, but I see no reason that it would not work well. So far, we are very happy with the toaster, and it should provide my son with a quick way of grabbing an inexpensive breakfast prior to classes

I am returning this item, 10 days old. Today the toast did not pop up, burnt black and filled the kitchen with thick smoke. We had to hit "cancel" or pull the plug, because it was still cooking. Unacceptable risk of smoke damage and fire if we had not been in a nearby room to smell it.Before that, I had used it successfully several times, and I love the "egg muffin" feature. That cycle takes 6 minutes on Medium egg. The toast stays down after cooking (warm) until the egg is done, which is nice.Another web site listed it as a very fast toaster (based on watts), but it is only average speed. Medium toast takes 2 1/2 minutes.Some of those 1800 watts go to the egg cooker. Note that is about 15 amps, so better not run your microwave and this toaster at the same time.It's a little smaller than listed, which was a welcome surprise, because it fits easily under our cabinets. Width across is 16", depth front to back 11.5", height 8".The little egg pans need to be well-greased, so instead of washing I started just wiping them clean like you would an iron skillet, and they release the egg easily. Just spraying with Pam was not good enough, the egg would not release cleanly.

Our 10 year old toaster broke recently so after reading through reviews I purchased a this toaster from Amazon Prime gambling on the over 80% 4 and 5 star combined rating.When my wife wanted to cook hard boiled eggs over Easter weekend via the normal boiling method on the stove, I suggested we try the "Breakfast Station" instead. A previous test of mine turned out perfect eggs from this toaster, while the stove method (following a 'sure thing' recipe) turned out undercooked eggs.Within a minute the eggs were being steam-cooked. I took 8 uncooked eggs from the carton, added 4 Tablespoons water and pressed a button on the toaster. Some time later (didn't clock it) the toaster dinged so I took the eggs out let them sit in cool water for a short while until cool to the touch. The only real effort here was listening for the ding from the unit.When the wife tried them her response was as follows:"Nice job on the hard-boiled eggs. They are cooked perfectly."Coming from anyone that is quality praise. Coming from an overdue pregnant woman, that is incredible praise.It also toasts bread, which has worked everytime to my satisfaction, though some people mention uneven toasting. I can see that occurring since larger bakery-loaf slices tend to be wider than pre-packaged and don't always fit nicely in the slots. This is an issue with most toasters.The other downside is the size of the thing. For a toaster it's massive and will take up significant space on your kitchen counter. But you can see the specs on that above and judge for yourself.Easy to use, works as described, under $100.
