Good quality for the price. I think the flex, temper and thickness of the steel is better than the generics. If you want a polished finish you must do it yourself. The final finish would start with a 180 grit paper or wheel and fine it up from there.

So I would have initially given this a 5 - because I own a number of these tools in different sizes and the 3/8" leaf and square was my number 1 go to for working on the stone wall around our place. It was the best at helping to place lime mortar exactly where is needed to go. Until today when the first one I bough last year snapped in my hand while I was appling mortar into a crack. The square end snapped right off. I think they should alter the join to be more oval at the joint as this would give it more strength. That being said I have to order another one as I haven't found a better tool. So it is a great tool but I would not give it high marks for durability. It should be treated as a disposable tool as you need to have a spare on hand.
