Only half a doorknob
Perhaps I'm uneducated on the parlance of door-knob technology, but I was expecting to receive a full knob (ie. a handle for each side of the door) rather than just one handle and no mechanism. For buyers looking for half a door-knob assembly, this one was quite nice. For everyone else, do be cautious of this product.

Looks great but has some flaws
I was super excited to install these knobs. They were a great price, especially given that I was replacing all the knobs in my house with these, making it a reasonably affordable upgrade. The knobs installed easily and seem to be relatively high quality. There are a few flaws though. The knobs aren't as quiet as I would like. The make a crinkly noise when turned from the internal spring being compressed. The noise is very subtle, but loud enough to hear at night when I'm trying to sneak around my house when I can' sleep and don't want to wake anyone. The cheap builder grade knobs these are replacing were silent. The other issue was the included strike plates aren't adjustable. The ones I replaced had slightly different screw hole locations so the door would have a lot of play after installing these. That wouldn't be a problem if the tab on the strike plate was easily adjustable, but they are not. I couldn't even bend them with plyers. I ended up needing to buy separate strike plates from kwikset which have adjustable tabs at $3 each.Overall I'm very please with the look and overall results of the upgrade. Not the best product unfortunately and the cost ended up being higher because of the strike plates. I would return them, but it was a lot of work to upgrade all 20 knobs in my house and not really wanting to do it all again.

Best knobs I ever purchased and I am a luxury home builder
First off, I build luxury homes. I have seen it all when it comes to quality knobs for doors. Although there are better high-end knobs these for your typical home are going to be far beyond what you will need. They are solid and installation is extremely easy thanks to self-aligning tabs that keep you from trying to line up the screws with their holes. They look amazing and really helped me sell the custom home I just finished. Everyone that looked at the house commented on them, that's pretty darn cool.

Beware of slicing your hand & shorter than normal door knob
Thoughts on this Item:Pros:•Opening the door feels smooth and easy, but that is also largely based on the installer, but it felt like the components were of decent quality, the design though caused a few issues (see below).•I personally liked the design and finish of the door knob once installed.Cons:•Although I liked the style, got a nasty cut for the first time in my life from a doorknob by simply rotating the door handle from the inside of the door (the side that has the screws). I used a small metal file to try to remove the burs as best I could, but I still feel a slight grab on my skin as I rotate the knob. Not perfect, but I don't have any children so it'll do. You are more likely to get a cut from this door knob due to: -Shorter door knob means your hand is closer to the screws and trim when ROTATING the knob (hence the slicing action). -Screws are not flush with the trim when installed like many standard door knob assemblies are these days. -Because the knob is shorter, you will need to use a right angle shallow Phillips screw driver or suffer from slightly stripping the screw head (which gives it burs that will slice and dice your skin) due to the angle you must take on seating the driver into the fasteners.•The screws are also more difficult to install with a standard screw driver given the fact that this door handle is shorter (or at least feels shorter due to the trim portions that cover the door.

Works with interior doors and comes with round and sharp edge options
The hardest part of installation is taking the old door knob off. On my door I have to push a tab in with a screwdriver and pull at the same time. The second hardest is lining up the two ends until they come together to sandwich the door. Practice when the two pieces are not in the door. The third hardest thing is screwing the screws in because you need to start the screws with your fingers and then when they're almost all the way in you need a long screwdriver that will get behind the doorknob. The doorknob supports distances of 2 and 3/8 and 2 and 3/4 inches. The door comes with plates on the latch and the strike for either sharp or rounded edges.I installed mine on the interior closet door which is probably less than 2 inches thick and it worked fine. You can lock it from the outside and then you can't lock someone in because there's a manual unlock on the inside. For me this was just to keep kids out of the closet.I think the plate behind the knob gives it a nice little architectural flair that makes it a cut above a regular doorknob. It feels pretty sturdy, relative to today's cheap manufacturing. The key is very smooth and has no sticking or other problems.

Watch for the price fluctuations
First of all watch for the price. I bought these for a little over $8 and in a few days they raised the price to $15. Definitely not worth $15. They are okay and do the job. Just one dummy handle per order that gets screwed in from the sides. The knob can come off so it is easy to screw in the base and then pop in the knob.

Camelot trim is laminated film!!!
I purchased the Camelot Trim with Aged Bronze color because this looks amazing with my brown color door. However, I didn't realize that camelot trim is a laminate film!!!The very thin laminated film started peeling off after a year and now I have two different tones on the trim and it looks horrible!Stay away from this product unless you are getting a standard or brass trim because other trims are simply a laminated film over stainless steel model. You've been warned.Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

quality finish, easy install
very good dummy knobs. One star off because the knobs we replaced screwed on from the back, through the door, and while this would be slightly more difficult install, it would hide the screws AND be stronger than just two screws in a ply door. Still, the knobs are great, and they match the egg-shaped knobs we bought as passage-ways. btw the egg shape is fantastic, second house we swapped all knobs out because the egg-shaped are easy to turn, no slippage, easier with hand pain.

Surprisingly excellent!
I hadn’t considered a privacy handle set with a flange plate, but now that I’ve installed it at home, I can truly appreciate it’s concept and design. It eliminates fingerprints and dirty smudges on the door itself around the handle, and it adds architectural detail to an otherwise blank space. Highly recommend!

Colour not as shown
I ordered a lot of these so found out that this is the ordered colour - it's far from brass anything. Really disappointed in the colour but hesitant to order the other brass as one review picture looked like 90's builder grade "gold". I absolutely love the style so I'm keeping them but it's 100% not what I was looking for
