I am so happy I read the reviews first and am kind of obsessive about being prepared and reading instructions.This device is so simple to use. You have 3 tries to get it right in case you miss something the first time which is nice.We have a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 and our aftermarket remote stopped working that came with the truck when we bought it.We had 3 remotes to program total. It was nicer to do with the two of us together though in my opinion.I read the directions to myself, made sure we had everything ready to go with batteries installed, and found the OBD2 port before starting. We got it easily on our first try with all 3 remotes programmed in less than 5 minutes. Just follow the instructions. I will recommend this product to anyone I know with remote issues!

Originally, I ordered normal key fobs off-line thinking I could program them by following a sequence of steps without any tool like I did for our 2006, GMC sierra. The other company lied to me, I needed to have a tool to pair my key fobs I found this tool and key fob! This was fantastic. I could use the key fob they gave me, and my other two key fobs to reprogram my key fobs for our truck, everything was so quick I plugged it in and followed the directions, and I paired three key fobs! Please note that if you have a key fob already paired, you are going to have to re pair it to your vehicle. Thank you for making such a cheap and amazing product to make this easy!! This was worth every dollar!!

At first this didn't work, seemed like it wasn't getting power... Looking at it in the obdII port, there is a latch that locks this device into the port (not sure why you would need it) pushing really hard to seat that makes a connection and it works, but I needed a screwdriver to get it back out... I cut the latch off this device and now it's fairly easy to use. If it doesn't register your fob, I had to get the fob very close to this device but once I did it programmed 3 in a row.

I actually purchased a used set to save roughly $30 and wasn’t sure what to expect. The delivery was a day early and in great condition so I gave it a try. I purchased a preowned truck from a dealer and all it came with was one non factory key for the ignition and no key faub/fob. I bought this Dorman OBD2 programmer and faub along with and additional key and faub from a different manufacturer. Needless to say it worked and was super easy.-Make sure you have all the key faubs ready and with good batteries.-Get in vehicle and lock all doors.-Insert ignition key and cycle to run position but do not start the vehicle.-Insert OBD2 programmer into vehicles OBD2 port and wait for the red light and beep sound to come from programmer.-Grab first key faub that you want programmed and hold the lock and unlock button down at the same time until you hear beeps and/or the door locks cycle. Release buttons.-If you have additional faubs to program grab one, hold down the lock and unlock button until you hear a beep and/or the door locks cycle.- Once the faubs you added are programmed, remove the programmer from the OBD2 port and turn ignition key to the off position.-That should be it! Test the function of the faubs now and if they do not function, double check your batteries and start again from step one.

I used this OBDII keyless remote control programmer and I have to say, I am impressed!! It is very easy to use and the directions are simple to understand. I had no problem programming 2 new remotes to mu pickup truck. Once I programmed, they both worked!! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to replace their broken or lost remote.

Works EXACTLY as per the instructions. I programmed all 3 remotes within minutes. Best of all, when I bought my truck I was told by the dealer that it didn't come with remote locks. I proved her wrong! Not only did I discover I have remote locks, but I also have an alarm! Awesome!

I was told at gm dealership couple hundred dollars for a new remote and a hundred dollars to program it.I bought this and slipped it in the obd port programed 4 remotes in seconds absolutely unbelievable,this works great would recommend it 👍👍

La manette fonctionne très bien comme convenue mais elle émet sur une plus courte distance que la manette d'origine. Mais c'est suffisant pour être fonctionnel.
