ottavio Mouse Trap/Rat Trap

This is a simple and very effective trap. The ends are also reinforced with steel plates to hold big mice from their biting/claws. The only weakness I can see is that the closing mechanism is linked with a thin plastic part which may break when it falls or when mishandled. Also the problem of disposing a live trapped mouse still remains. 😁

After reading positive reviews, I put my money on this 'over expensive item', but what's real is that it's not very practical.I put tomato, fruit, biscuit, onion etc. inside on several tries, but the mouse avoids going inside.I experimented with a regular mouse metal cage and this one, and the mouse went inside the metal one with a similar kind of food inside.and I switched the location as well, still, the mouse went inside the metal one both the times.Had three mice, coming from outside, all caught from metal one, thrown to far from home in sanctuary side.I felt a little awkward mentioning its price to the guests, and I am keeping it now as a showpiece.It's super useless, and overpriced.Do not waste your money, it might work with a tiny mouse, but normal size mouse does not go inside it.

I have been trying to get rid of the mouse at my home. I didn't want to use poison to kill them. My other mouse traps were not able to catch mice or rats as they gained some kind of sense that it was a trap. Also, the traps i have were more of a nuisance because one was a snap trap but it could hurt a person accidentally touching it. While the other was the common mouse trap available on amazon india where the mouse pulls the trigger and the trap closes outside. It was big, and not accident free with people around. I even tried glue trap but the mouse cleverly avoided it! I wanted to catch them live and leave them far away from my home. I used to watch mouse trap videos of shawn woods and thought if i could build a mouse trap. However, i found this trap on amazon and it has never failed me since then. It is cleverly designed such that when mouse just stop on a pedal inside, the trap closes. It is fully plastic and not injurious to human at all as it can be trigerred only by a mouse going inside and stepping on pedal. The best thing is one can discard the mouse easily as the trap is fully enclosed so that the mouse can't bite you when you are holding the trap in your hand. Even placing the bait(food) is easy as the other end opens easily. Its easy to clean as well.

after a lot of method i was unable to trap mouse but this is fantastic productbut need care of this product as it breakable plastic

I had mixed feelings. Because there was times when mouse trap wasn't working. The mouse was in trap but it could run away and not get locked in. The lock latch was loose while closing. I wouldn't recommend it to be honest at this price. Better find a better product on amazon.

Price is little bit higher but if you want to relief from rat go for it.when i got delivery of this produce same day I put 3 gram (chana rosted) and one peace of badam in it and put in my car next morning i cought this mouse.it is really effective.value for mony...go for it

Flimsy and too small - may be useful only for mice - also the lock is not tight and the rodent gets away easily

While the design and concept of the trap is good but the build is poor. The pressure plate that triggers the trap is not sensitive enough. I placed the bait in the trap to catch a big wild rat, the rat went in the trap, ate the bait and left. The pressure plate did not activate the trap door.If you have small mice, then this trap is definitely not for you and its not even good enough for big rats.Good thing it has a return policy.
