Superb, this is one you want! Made in USA, quality, not the cheap knock off(s) from china!
At first I ordered and installed a friction disc from "Fascinatte" (them misspelling fascinate should have been my first red flag). The chinese one installed fine but was quite out of round when spun (went up and down 3/8 of an inch every revolution). That bothered me, but I figured spring engagement of Drive surface would deal with it. The motor leaked gas, so I had to order gaskets for carb anyway, so I picked ANOTHER brand Friction wheel and was careful not to buy one with same pictures from some other chinese seller selling the same stuff - this is common (kind of a pain to change it, plan on being an hour). This unit from ROTARY was superb, zero up and down when spun. VERY glad I changed it! The chinese knock off one is going back DOA (dead on arrival). I pictured arm of that lift lever that raises drive plate constantly going up and down to follow uneven wheel on chinese one, and decided no way.

Fits my Ariens 5520
Fits my Ariens 5520, works great. If you're replacing the friction disk on an Ariens 5520, you don't need to punch out any of the roll pins in the hex shaft to get the shaft out. Just remove the bushing that holds the right end of the hex shaft to the frame, then slide the hex shaft a few inches to the right, just enough so that you can slip the old friction disk over the left end of the shaft. (First you have to remove the 3 bolts that hold the friction disk in place).I found that the left end of the hex shaft had been "mushroomed" slightly, so at first it wouldn't slide out of the bearing that holds that end of the shaft. So I took a file and filed gently around the perimeter of the left end of the hex shaft, and then I was able to slide the end through the bearing and slip the friction disk off the left end of the shaft.

it works but is not perfectly round
The bolt pattern matches my machine and it does the job, but the wheel is somewhat out of round. This causes the drive system to slip occasionally, but the issue is minor enough that a slight push gets it to grab again and keep going. Not an issue when moving at sufficient speed but may be a problem on a ramp, a slippery surface, or when moving in lower gears. Not the best, but good enough and not worth ripping the machine apart again to try replacing it.
