Kidde 21025830 Power Source Replacement Batteries

These are good batteries. The ones that came with my detectors lasted well over two and half years. However, at $8.00 EACH, the are way overpriced. The same batteries are available at Wxxxxrt for $3.00. I thought I was getting a pack of 4 for $16.00 but it turned out to be 2 for $16.00. It does cost to return them and there will be a restocking fee, but since I need 10 of them, it will be well worth it.

One of the batteries I bought is dead in 3 months, or more precisely soon-to-be dead, as my alarm is still yelling "Low Battery" every 20-30 mins. 3 months, are you kidding me? It reads "Guaranteed 2 year life"!Fine, they make that guarantee because they offer a 2-year warranty. Just in case you don't know, in order to make the warranty claim, "All warranty claims must be addressed in writing to Kidde, Attention: Powersupply Warranty, 1016 Corporate Park Drive, Mebane, NC 27253. The claim must include the original UPC and cash register receipt otherwise the claim will not be honored. Multiple submissions will not be acknowledged or returned."It's so funny and frustrating. If I trust the product like I did, I won't save the "original UPC" for as long as two years. If I don't trust the product I won't buy it at the first place. Let alone you have to physically mail them and wait. Either way, the warranty is useless and impractical. At best, it's just something the company uses to back up their marketing twist.My advice: go find some other products that rely on quality instead of deceiving warranty.

You need to use certain batteries with the Kidde smoke detectors. These are rated for 2 years service. I've got all the info if it doesn't last that long, read the reverse side of the battery - they will honor the warranty with those qualifications.

Put it in Kidde smoke detector which is 120v powered so this is just a back up. Low battery warning started beeping in about 3 months. Checked the battery and yes it was low. I now have the second of this set in my smoke detector will see what happens.

9V Batteries for smoke detectors last longer than regular 9V batteries. Amazon had the best pricing for these! So far so good! We usually get at least 2 years of life from these batteries.

Got these for a Kidde smoke/CO alarm after 3 orders of Amazon basics / energizer which the alarm didn't like. Turns out, these don't work either and now I have a whole lot of useless batteries. Might be better to just replace the alarm at this point!

I replaced 12 older Kidde smoke alarms with newer Kidde model alarms. One had a battery that failed about two weeks following installation. The replacement battery corrected the problem. I purchased additional replacement batteries in the event of another alarm system failure.

Kidde batteries my cost a little more but the battery life is worth the cost.
