Would give it 6 stars if i could
The thing you need to remember is, an IR is just an EQ adjustment -- a complex EQ adjustment - think line graph with infinite points rather than a 3 / 5 /10-bar chart , but ...You have to remember, an IR is only right when you know what the input and output sounds like - it's an offset adjustment, so while most piezos might need more bass to sound like a hummingbird, yours may not. They've done a half-decent job with the factory defaults, but they cannot know what YOUR piezo / mag pickup sounds like. I own a real Gibson hummingbird, and I can tell you, without any doubt that my piezo bridge equipped electric though this on piezo->hummingbird mode sounds NOTHING like a hummingbird.. BUT this clever box lets you create new IRs just using the box for acoustics with piezos (not useful in my case) AND has a useful windows/mac program (download from the website) that lets you install your own IRs, so I recorded my hummingbird, recorded my piezo, then used MFreeformEqualizer in my DAW to create the correct IR and installed it.Does it sound /exactly/ like my hummingbird? No, of course not, it's still coming out of an amp and it still has a little piezo quack, but it is very close -- as close as you could reasonably get.Add to that the DI output, headphone output, etc, etc, and the very reasonable price tag, and I have to say...Really great pedal!

Disappointing yet still great
First, the bad. The instructions are very poor and there are none at all for the editing software, even on their website. The preloaded IR's are mostly for magnetic pick ups and I have been unable to upload any acoustic piezo IR's onto the software. It simply hangs on loading though IR files are tiny. However, as the editing software can't even detect the hardware unit it wouldn't help even if I could. It's telling there are no youtube tutorials for this either.I was able to update the firmware but it didn't help and latest firmware is almost three years old suggesting the device isn't supported . Having bought this mainly to purchase and download acoustic IR files of famous acoustic guitars I would have returned it except there is a good side too.The good is that the preamp controls provide a surprisingly fine degree of control over the tone of your instrument through your amp. Also of the four piezo files preloaded three are usable and two of them excellent. In fact though I'm frustrated about the rest the sound is so good it is, for me worth the purchase price. The reverb is limited and a notch filter would have been a useful alternative but the tones I am finding as I experiment with the preamp are terrific. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to add IR files to it too. So against the odds, it's a keeper and I do recommend it.

what every acoustic guitar wants for Christmas
I gig regularly playing an acoustic guitar in a small trio (Horse Thieves) I wanted My 12 string to have the same sound that comes out of the sound hole not the tinny sound from the Piezo pickup under the bridge. I watched all the YouTube videos and decided to purchase it (at the bands cost.) what can I say it is brilliant. I now have the sound of a 10 grand guitar for £140. there are 15 preprogramed guitars in the unit to use, Gibson J200 Taylor 814 Martin D45 to name but a few. One is able to record the Acoustic sound of ones own guitar and then save that as a setting. I marked the ease of use done to 3 stars because how to do this properly is not on any of the included instructions I had to contact Nux for this which they duly send an email explaining all. why its not in the box I don't know. all in all a brilliant bit of kit. ease to use with the pre sets is great

Great product with poor build quality
If it worked properly this product would be fantastic but as it is it’s very defective. Cheap parts using micro-usb instead of USB-C has resulted in what you see in the video. As usable as it is without me wanting to tinker with the IRs, I really only bought it to play about with my own settings. I’ve followed all the instructions to get t to connect and whilst it will occasionally read it as a “sound card”, the actual program itself remains disconnected.

Unit was shipped in a faulty condition....
Having noticed the right hand switch was not active, the unit would not scroll or switch modes, on repeated pressing the switch it would very occasionally catch and work. I decided to return the unit, Since it is was now potentially an intermittent fault.... I persevered and finally gave it a good tap on a wooden table and it is now working, hopefully it will stay that way. How this unit was damaged or dropped, or even shipped will remain a mystery.. Great product.

Next level acoustic guitar tone!
My Martin 00028 with K&K pure mini pickup sounds fantastic through this pedal into my Fishman Loudbox Mini. The reverb is really deep but doesn’t get in the way of the guitar, even when maxed. I’ve not tried all the presets yet as I literally plugged it in and was instantly carried away by the ‘out of the box’ sound, and the way it makes the guitar feel. I noticed a little bit of hiss but I’m hoping this isn’t a problem when I plug direct into the PA with my band. Seriously good product for the money.

Great pedal with lots of possibilities
I've been really impressed with this pedal and have used it in lots of different ways, all with very pleasing results.I initially bought it as an acoustic simulator pedal for electric guitar. It does this very well and there are lots of tonal options available. Unlike every other acoustic simulator pedal I've owned in the past (including the obvious famous brands) there is no hiss with this, which is crucial for me as I use it for recording. In addition to this I have used the pedal as a preamp and tone shaper for acoustic guitar, both using a piezo pick-up built into the guitar and a separate magnetic pickup. Both approaches have produced pleasing results, there are enough presets and controls available to dial in a good tone and to get lots of different useable options.I use this purely at home, but the construction feels very solid and I could see it standing up to the rigors of gigging.

Disappointing performance and no power supply included.
I found this item very disappointing and decided to return it. The review videos on the web for this pedal are mainly paid promotions, so it is difficult to get a balanced evaluation without buying one of these. Firstly, my acoustic guitars have onboard pre amps with EQ, and the pre amp section of this pedal does not improve on that. Secondly, some of the IR presets produce unacceptable levels of feedback. Thirdly, most of the IRS sound the same, (and I tried it with 3 acoustic guitars). Some of the presets sound very brittle and tinny, I had better results with just my amp, and for recording my Hotone Ampero One multi fx sounds better, and with the added benefit of different reverbs, chorus, cabinet simulation, and two acoustic preamps. Fourthly, it does not come with a power supply. Finally, The ability to produce an IR of your own guitar is not very useful. I have no I desire to try and replicate the sound of a guitar I already own. I love gadgets and multi effects, but this one just doesn’t bring enough to the party, I can’t recommend it.,

Junk
What utter junk. I should have read the reviews and YouTube videos of people complaining about noise and hiss. Utter rubbish, also wouldn’t connect to my Mac. I even had to pay return postage costs.

Great little pedal without being harsh on the hip pocket.
This pedal has a very good pre amp enabling one to shape a rich suitable tone.
