BOSS Audio Systems Marine Rated Weatherproof MRCP9685A Apple CarPlay Android Auto Multimedia Player - Double Din, 6.75 Inch LCD Touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB Port, A/V Input, AM/FM, No CD-DVD

Installed this yesterday in my jeep to upgrade from previous sound system. A couple things I want to share, first for the most part it was very straightforward. But the PAC, connector came with 2 options A or B, due to reading and searching online forums, for the jeep we went with B. There is also a choice for radio based on the brand of the audio system, BOSS was not listed so we chose number 7 because it said (Other). I did not buy a camera for this system, and I pleased so far with how it turned out. The only CON i have thus far is that when making a phone call through bluetooth it is filled with static, compared to making a phone call with the phone plugged in.

The screen is getting condensation inside the radio due to my vehicle being a Polaris Slingshot without a roof even after I attempt to seal the radio with waterproof flex tape. The radio would not allow me to select the music on my classic Ipod, so I had to purchase a Ipod 7 generation touch screen to play my music on the MARINE CLASSIFIED BOSS RADIO. The radio would get 5 stars, if I did not have these minor issues.

The system is really neat if everything functions as normal. First off you have to bypass the parking break detection. Unless you are installing in a car. Who needs a marine rated radio in a car... no one. Secondly the sound is mediocre at best. The 99 dollar rockville pod radio i replaced sounded twice as good running to the same amplifier and speakers. The most dissapointing part is that this is in a KRX under roof with a windshield so its not getting much direct rain or moisture. The attached picture shows what the screen looks like after it rained yesterday. This is happens everything it rains more than a couple hours. Sometimes it comes back to life after a day or so and sometimes ut takes several dry days in a row. Very dissapointed because I thought I had found the convenience of car audio in a marine package... No such luck.

this product is not water proof. it got wet in the rain and radio got all foggy up and radio went out.disputing refund

Quality product. Well packaged. Arrived on schedule with all necessary parts. Got a separate double DIN fascia and the unit fits perfectly. Really easy to install myself. Works superbly, great screen response and sound. Phone is clear as normal mobile. CarPlay works like a dream.

Pour le radio Boss MRCP9685A,Je suis un peu sceptique pour sa résistance à l'eau je m'explique, après les deux jours de canicule de la semaine passée mon slingshot a dormi dans le garage au chaud la 3 journée il a fait plus froid je suis partie en slingshot tôt le matin et après qu'elle minutes sur l'autoroute j'ai remarqué de la condensation dans le radio bref après être arrivé à destination et un peut de temps au soleil la condensation est partie. pour un radio suposer être waterproof ... meton que quand je vais le laver je vais tjs mettre le cover pour le protéger. Voir photos. Mise à jours après une autre sortie avec encore de la buse dans l'écran la c'est le sond qui marche plus après qu'elle que heures aux soleil le sound à recommencer mais avec des parasites pour moi le radio est bon pour les poubelle vraiment déçu pour 400$
