These Clippers are nice not cheaply made like the ones I previously used . They have a good grip & are durable. The only downside is the nail file is not that easy to remove from the handle but is an added plus that it comes with it.

Used to cut dog nails

These seem dull. Cannot cut my dog's nails without applying heavy pressure, almost making him uncomfortable.

I was unable to get my 16 lb terrier mix in to have her nails clipped and every store was sold out of nail clippers. I bought these and they do the trick. They cut mostly smooth, but do sometimes leave a small piece behind or a little bit of a splintered edge that was small enough to be corrected by human nail clippers. I also had a hard time with the dewclaws because the metal piece was a tad too big to get in there and keep my dog comfortable. Overall a good purchase. I just wish they were $5 cheaper like they would have been in the pet store.

My dog is 12 and its has become hard for him to travel anywhere to get his nails trimmed. He desperately needed them done but has horrible separation anxiety. With COVID,our vet's office wouldnt allow us to go in with him if we had them take care of his routine clippings. Therefore, we chose to do them ourselves. We initially were very nervous as we have never done them before. We were worried about clipping them too short but found this pair of clippers with the safeguard. That definitely helped put us at ease. The nail clippers did there job with no issue. They are sharp and sturdy enough to get the job done. Great proce point as well.

I have a 25 lb beagle and a 75 lb blue tick. I was concerned using the same one because the blue tick's nails are much thicker (and black).PROS:These seem to stay sharp and quickly and efficiently allow me to cut my dog's nails at homeQuick guard helps more for the little dog, but if you read the instructions, even for long nails, you should only cut a small amount at a time so using that philosophy, it really does help to not over-cutCONS:The quick guard seems as though it might bend eventually and though this isn't as important as the nail cutter itself, I don't want to cut too deep.The guard also moved around a lot so you have to reset it with each nail trim.

I knew I would get just one chance to cut my dog's nails and not freak them out. I needed to make sure the product was sharp and safe.To my surprise my dogs were fine with me cutting their nails. They trusted me more than I trusted myself cutting their nails!!This product made the process easy and safe. The guard keeps you from going too deep into the nail. Some nails were longer so I ended up taking a couple snips off but each snip was just a little bit.Even when the groomer opens again I plan to keep doing my dog's nails.

Worked very well, I have 3-BIG Chocolate Labs, one of which is not fond of having her nails clipped so having the guard on the clippers came in very handy. I think without it I probably would have gotten into the vein and probably ruined the chance of being able to cut her nails at home ever again. The reason for the 4-stars instead of 5-stars is because the guard moves around too easily. I understand the purpose of it being able to move, but having it move while clipping a nail could have ended badly. Other than that small flaw, I liked these clippers and they were sharp enough to do all 3-dog's and I'm sure that they'll be there ready to use for a long time to come!

I product seems a little bit dull, and seems to squish the claw a little bit making for a jerky clip which kind of scares my dog. Our last pair was a lot sharper I’m not sure why this Perrysburg Sharpe. Ergonomic, nice design I just wish it was a little sharper.

Nothing to dislike. Light is great.
