17" Splitting Axe

This axe easily splits fireplace size wood into smaller pieces and/ or kindling. It's a perfect camp or patio fireplace one handed splitting axe. The head shape really efficiently splits wood and it's nice and sharp out of the box. The difference between this and an old school cheap hand axe is night and day. It's fun to bust wood down for fire starting, etc. as needed. This is not for splitting big rounds (it's a foot and a half long, it's a one hand axe....) but if the big ones perform like this they'd be great for big splitting chores.

The best splitting axe that I ever owned. One might find it slightly on the heavy side until you realize that it is not a hatchet but a lightweight splitting axe. I also bought the sharpener for it...a great buy.

Maybe a but too light, but handy, pretty soft steel even for a splitting maul. It serves the purpose, but the Estwing is way better at a slightly higher cost.

I bought this with the sharpener, 10 strokes through it and I was turning logs into kindling with 1 hand, goes though easily, works great. I would definatly recommend this!

Local stores didn't carry this model. The longer handle makes it great.
