This is an excellent flagpole that we are using to display our pirate flag for Halloween. The flagpole is sturdy, well-made and looks really good. High quality paint really adds to the look. The pole pieces are thick and strong and screw together very easily. The bracket can display your flag at either a 45-degree angle OR a 90-degree angle. This is great for us because we have eaves on our house that extend so far out, it is almost impossible to display any flag at a 45-degree angle so it is the main reason I chose this particular flag pole. Once the bracket is mounted, the flag pole simple slides into the bracket at whichever angle you choose. There are two swivels included that slide onto the flag pole to keep your flag from wrapping around the pole when there is a bit of a breeze. The swivels are adjustable to any size flag and are easily adjusted by tightening the screw using the tool provided. All of the mounting hardware is also provided, including flag hooks.

Update: Spoke too soon. With lightweight flags these may still wrap the pole unless you add weights to the bottom corners. I put 2 x 10gm lead weights on the corners of the TX flag and that seemed to fix the problem. I will probably adjust the position of the weights to prevent drooping of the one corner - then sew them in place. Probably not the flagpoles fault - just situation dynamics. Strange but at the time of purchase the flagpole with flag was less expensive by $1.10 than the pole Without the flag. No problem there as I needed the flag. This is a great product - 4 screw-together pole sections plus the masthead making a 6-foot pole - perfect for the 5 foot flag. The flag holders swivel 360 degrees around the pole preventing the flag from getting wrapped up around the pole when windy conditions exist (see video). The kit includes 3 snap-link carabiners (1 spare) to attach the flag, screws and wall anchors, and an Allen wrench for the swivel mounts. My only peeve - the mounting hardware is METRIC - slightly larger than a size 10 screw, and the wall anchors would NOT fit into a hole drilled with a standard 1/4" masonry bit. So I used my own 1/4" lead masonry anchors and #10 screws to attach the brackets to my house. Everything else worked perfectly - so well in fact that I bought a second set for my State flag. Well constructed kit - Highly Recommended.

Very sturdy flagpole. All parts are very easy to put together. Some reviewers reported weak mounting screws, I didn’t have any problems with them. They are much easier to install if you pre drill an undersized hole same depth as the screw length,and also coat them with 3 in one oil prior to screwing them in. If you do this they anchor in smoothly 😎

Very nice flag holder and pull. However I gave it four stars instead of five because as I handled it with light tools paint tipped off easily. Other than that it does what it's supposed to do and looks nice

Yes, it is sturdy and easy to assemble. I used it at an anime fest as a prop, and it was one of the best there—it really made my costume look legit. Now I have it on my house holding up a One Piece flag. It looks clean, especially in all black. Definitely one of the coolest purchases I’ve made.

Pole mounting hardware get a 10 out of 10. The flag on the other hand is horrible. It is already shredded at the seams after only 2 weeks. Unacceptable. It gets a minus 10. Don’t include one at all if this is the best you can do. Lower the price a few dollars and let us get our own. No it has not been in a hurricane or tornado. Just nice easy breezes. Amazon you are better than this.

I bought this to replace a plastic flag holder that snapped in high wind. I like the fact that the holder that mounts to the house is made of cast aluminum (??) rather than plastic. The rod that holds the flag is adjustable to accommodate both 3x5 and 4x6 flags easily. The sections screw together securely and I like the fact that the rings that hold the carabiner clips rotate freely to avoid the flag wrapping around itself. The carabiner clips themselves are a generous size so that clipping on a flag is a snap. There are three thumb screws to hold the pole in place securely. Over the past few weeks we have had high winds and the pole has held up well.
