FLASH HOBBY Brushless Motor D3548 1100KV Outrunner Motor for Mini Multicopters RC Plane Helicopter Fixed-Wing Aircraft

I’m using it for a wind tunnel, works really well, great price. I didn’t use it with a battery, but I would assume it works well with it too.

Replaced the motor on HK Voltiguer. This motor coupled with a 12 X 6 prop is awesome. Very powerful. Windings look fantastic. Very pleased with this one.

Used this on my RC rescue retrieve boat and it really works well doing the job.

These are really quite good value for the dollar. I bought three to experiment with and the very first thing that I did was to make a softwood anvil with a hole in it to drive the shaft out (after removing the retaining pin and two set screws) and then flip the shaft over. This doesn’t leave a retention mechanism for the whole bell of the motor as there’s no slot in the motor shafts midway up to lock the bell on with a circlip after flipping it, but the magnetism holds it up tight while you install and then mount your folding prop spinner. It’s not going anywhere but holy crap, the Kv may be underrated. I benched on 3S 4200 pack and an 80A Turnigy ESC and a 12.5. X 9 RFM prop on a 45mm spinner. It pulled like a maniac, hotliner configuration but overheated after about five minutes at various RPMs. Impressively balanced, and I’ll prop down to 10x0000 for my next round to settle on a fast pulling motor for my scratch builds. Great motor to have in the drawer. It pulls hard on the larger diameter props so go lower pitch such as x4 to avoid burning up the windings. Amazing for twenty bucks.

Man I've had a lot of problems with these motors. The first one I bought worked fine. Produced good power, and ran smoothly. However the other two (one of them 3548 1100KV, one 3548 900KV) I've had nothing but problems with.... The 1100KV motor out of the box made a grinding sound and sparks shot everywhere when testing the direction with the ESC prior to install. So out of the box something was severely wrong. The 900KV everything tested fine without a prop. I got it installed, got to the field for the maiden flight. Applied takeoff power, and the prop and the stator departed the front of the plane at about mach 5. Turns out this motor didn't have the C clip holding the propeller shaft and stator in place, so there is another return I need to make. I purchased both of these motors new, and was running the recommended propeller and ESC size per the manual.

This was a gift for a family member. He said it worked very well. Very happy.

A very nice motor,nice and smooth,weight is not to bad,but I bought for a big motor to help with balance.

No dislikes, great motor plenty of power ,it got a long can size with good torque curve
