Try them in person before you buy
Bought from Amazon without seeing them in person. They were just too bulky and goofy looking so I returned them.

The shoes have a good aesthetic and are nice and sturdy for riding Unfortunately the flap that sits over the laces is a little bulky, and does not line up with its corresponding velcro. As a result it either sits crooked, or has a bulge from the extra material.

I like the toughness and the additional power to the pedals feeling with clip-ons. The do look a little lumberjackish according to my kids but I like them.

Great Descent
These shoes are a bit heavy as previously stated by other users. The sole width is great and grabs the hell out of my pedals, no problem with slipping on descents either. I wouldn't want to walk much in them up hill but the weight is great addition for downward stroke of the pedal. After two good rides they were broken in to my fit. The hook and pyle fastener lever the lacing is nice for keeping the loops from catching debris during riding. Would not advise getting them submerged in water.

Hurting my left outer ankle and have to buy dr scholl sole to elevate my ankle. Other than that and ugly blue color (pictire on web is inaccurate) it. Is alright.

These shoes worked just as described. They are definitely DH shoes and are heavy and stiff. The traction is great. The rise is a little high on the inside of the ankle and I have to wear ankle socks to prevent rub, as opposed to the no show socks I usually wear.
