The filling of the bladder is a bit complicated and messy and the instructions could have been more detailed. Having said that, once the bag is hung and I could slug on it I loved it! It's the most forgiving bag I've ever owned. It gives when struck very much the way the midsection of a grown man does. This helps keep the bag from bouncing and swinging all over the place. It's also good for my aging arthritic hands. I think I could hit this bag with my bare hands and be no worse for wear than if I punched my old bag with hand wraps and gloves. Filled with water, mine weighs around 140 lbs so my advice to you if you get one this size is to hang it where you don't need to be taking it down when you're done working out because moving it around is a chore. The neoprene cover also is a nice compliment to the bladder as far as being forgiving on your hands.

Worked great as an outdoor seasonal bag for two solid years (so basically just over a years worth of use with it stored in the winter). Best bag we've ever had. No hard spots. Feels great to hit. Easier on the joints and the cover is soft enough that hitting and kicking the bag doesn't tear your skin off.Sadly, once we moved it indoors and filled it with water...the adhesive on the straps gave way and dropped the still open and newly filled bag to the floor dumping water all over the basement. Sad. Feels like it should have lasted longer for just over two hundred out the door. Despite the short life of the bag, we've bought another one (though through the manufacturers website instead of Amazon). Hopefully this one lasts longer as it will be exclusively indoor.
