Perfect for Garage or Covered Porch - NOT FOR INSIDE!
Ok, this thing works great. We bought it for our garage since we live in North Carolina and have lots of bugs. It zaps them for sure. In fact, it has killed wasps, moths, flies, and a plethora of mosquitos. However, the brochure it comes with shows a family sitting on a couch with the bug zapper sitting nicely in the living room. Yeah, that’s unrealistic. This bug zapper is incredibly powerful, so it’s incredibly loud. We have ours in our garage and can hear it killing bugs from the other side of the house.Funny story. When I first got it, I plugged it in and sat it on top of the kitchen counter to make sure it worked. A fly immediately flew into it. The fly was zapped and exploded into 4 pieces. It was so loud, my daughter and I jumped.Moral of the story, it works great - just don’t use it in your house.

BUY IT NOWWWWWWW!!! YOU'RE WASTING VALUABLE TIME!!!
The media could not be loaded. Buy this thing!!!! Yesterday!!! Not kidding! It's amazing. 10 minutes in and its a fruit fly massacre! I have been doing everythinggggg to get rid of these fruit flys for about 2 weeks. Nothing worked. Vinegar and soap, the fruit fly trap with the uv light and fan kind of worked ok... I bought the pretty jar traps, fly tape, everything.... and these flying spawns of Satan would NOT DIE!!!.... 10 minutes into plugging this bad boy in and I'm ready to buy one for every single room in my house!!!! Money well spent!!! Seriously! Get yourself one of these things!!!

This thing made me laugh…
I read all the reviews before I bought this thing so I was expecting it to be super noisy. I was going to put it in my garage, which is connected to the house, because I do a lot of work in my workshop and the bugs are always terrible. When I plugged this thing in, I was super nervous to see what happened because I’ve never owned one of these. It was incredibly easy to set up and they even give you two extra spare of bulbs! As I stood there in the dark all by myself watching this thing and expecting incredibly loud noises, I was a bit underwhelmed. About 30 seconds after that- there it was. A bug literally flew into it and exploded…I mean the wings literally flew in different directions , and I jumped so high that I tripped over some tools and had to take a break to laugh at how ridiculous I was being. I definitely wouldn’t recommend for inside, but this definitely hits the nail on the head for in the garage. If you’re trying to get a perspective on how loud this thing is, picture one of those little mini fire cracker poppers that you throw on the ground to make a pop. It’s exactly like that when a bug hits it.

Works well, short cord, and includes replacement bulbs.
Similar in physical build and functionality as other 2X10 watt units, this unit comes with replacement bulbs. The cord length is approximately 41 inches, so it's a little short and will require an extension. Arrived quickly and packaged well.

Like scary movies? Then you will LOVE this bug zapper!!!
This bug zapper is not for the faint of heart. It is LOUD, what it does to the flies is gruesome but IT WORKS!!! Within seconds of plugging this thing in, it attracted and exploded the flies that got into my home. This zapper will literally make you jump every time it zaps a fly. Even my dog and cat jump every time it zaps but IT WORKS. I cannot be more impressed on how well this product works. I had many bug zappers on the past but this thing really sets a new high bar. The best part? It comes with replacement bulbs! If you have company over I would pre-warn them about the sound or turn it off. I'm not exaggerating, it is that loud, but again in conclusion. IT WORKS!

Liked it so much, bought a second one.
Does exactly what it says it does. My home has been bug free for over 3 years, I added a second one to my garage since there are a lot of mosquitos here during the summer. The only thing I have changed out on this are the light bulbs which are easy to get a hold of and easy to change.

Works great!!
Got this because we get gnats in the house a lot and it drives tha cat crazy. It has killed more gnats than anything we have tried. Highly effective. Kills flies and any other flying insects. It is extremely loud and will scare dogs, it will even scare you if it gets a fly. The lights are very bright and attract insects well especially if the lights are off in the area it’s in or not bright enough to over power the light output. We purchased another on from Amazon that had a fan and sticky pad it was useless.

bugs be gone!
This product works great at attracting small insects in the home. I have had one of these for several years; you would not believe how many tiny gnats and bugs enter your home until you use one of these. It does not work on spiders except I did zap a daddy long leg once. Works on fleas , also. Put near doggy bed. Not a cure-all, but, helps.

Fantastically effective for fruit flies
24 hours ago, the fruit flies were so thick in here that I had to be careful not to inhale them.I put two of these in to my place, and the problem was solved in one day. My greatest regret was not getting these sooner. For what it's worth, one would have likely done the job, but I don't regret getting two, because the price was reasonable. My concern was that they may not be effective combating such small insects. I am no longer concerned. These things are great. When they zap even a very small insect, the sound is about like a loud hand-clap. If you're easily startled, it may be a problem. I perceive it as the sound of success. As an added bonus, these things could provide entertainment in a darkened room, as the firecracker sound is accompanied by a more impressive light show than you'd expect, as something as small as a fruit fly is explosively converted to plasma.Even the sticky yellow paper traps were more costly, with repeat purchases necessary, and they were not at all effective. If you can accept the zap sound these things make, then this product is perfect to control fruit flies! Recommended!!!

So where is this improved???
What’s “New - Improved - Upgraded”?? So this is now my FOURTH one of these units. The first one, failed right out of the box - the second one - lamp failed in two weeks - (then they started shipping them with spare lamps!) third one - electrical grid failed in 2 months - - so this is 20 W Zapper Trial - #4.I do not see ANYTHING at all, that is new, improved or upgraded from the ‘Aspetec’ model that this same unit WAS called. This one is identical to that.At least this one worked when plugged in - and I heard it zap a bug - so the grid works - I’ll see how long this one works well.I wish someone would actually build one of these - - THAT WORKS WELL. You know - like for season after season?? I KNOW it will not be $44 but I would be okay with that… ‘Cheap is NOT always economical’ in my view. The marketing card that came with this - - offering $10 rebate for opinion - - is a joke. The phone number on the card has been disconnected and the QR code just scans to a facebook ad… So - where’s my $10 for giving you feedback?I would be FINE if it were heavier - but seems like the score is based on it ‘being light’ - - I would PREFER it to be MUCH heavier - if it was full of some high-quality components…??I am not impressed - but I didn’t expect to be - - this appears to be the same junk it was last fall - - but it’s working on Day 1 so that’s a good sign…??

Amazing.
Absolutely amazing. I honestly don’t think I’ll go without some sort of bug zapper in my home going forward. I situated it so the light shines down the hallway from the kitchen, so that bugs would see it from any room on the floor- I haven’t noticed a single mosquito or fruit fly this year! (Alive, that is. Lots of little corpses, lol)If you’ve ever heard a bug zapper before, ignore the warnings about how loud it is. It isn’t any louder then any other zapper. You can hear in from any room, but my baby is just a short distance away and she can sleep through it.I set mine up using a smart plug (TP Kasa) so that I could schedule it only to be on in the evening and night, so that I don’t have to explain why I have a bug zapper on 24/7 to my parents when they’re visiting or baby sitting. It should also make the lights last much longer, I think.Very easy to clean. Very easy to hang.

Doesn't attract any fruit flies.
It's been up and running in our kitchen for over 24 hrs. Hasn't attracted 1 fruit fly.Maybe because it's on a counter and not suspended close to the ceiling which is not an option for us.I'll give it a few more days. I'll update if there is any change. So far, completely useless. Now 4 months later. My opinion hasn’t changed. A jar with apple cider vinegar and a sticky pad traps 20 times the fruit flies that this does.Completely useless product. Don’t waste your money.

Effective and works great!
Received item in time. Comes in great packaging! Bubble-wrapped inside manufacturer’s box. Replacement bulbs and hanging chain included. Effective and works great indoors! Kills all the gnats from my houseplants. Zapping noise is very loud! However, you’ll get used to it eventually.
