Rada Cutlery Quick Edge Knife Sharpener (R119), 3.5" x 2", Stainless Steel Wheels, Pack of 2

This is the best knife sharpener I've ever used. My knives, from pocketknives to kitchen knives are now razor sharp. Very easy to use. If your knife is really dull you have to keep pulling it through until the edge is correct. It's actually oddly satisfying to use, as you can see small shavings of metal accumulate underneath this thing. Works equally well on stainless and regular steel.

I want to start off by saying I’ve tried many types of sharpeners, and dozens of different brands over the years. Frustrated with every one of them, I resorted to the tried and true (and SLOW) whetstone method for the last couple years. I hate it, but it has been the only thing that works without ruining blades. I was watching YouTube one night and out of the blue the presenter casually mentioned this sharpener while cutting up a roast during a recipe video. I’d never heard the brand so I looked it up while watching. Cheap. Thirty bucks for 2 of them. Why not. I can always return it if it sucks, right? It was delivered the next morning and I grabbed a dull chefs knife and gave it a go. In about 12 slow gently pulls across the “wheels”, I checked the edge. 15 seconds is all it took and the knife was sharp. Not sharper, not slightly better… really sharp. I chopped and sliced a few things and I gotta say, I was impressed. So, I spent about 15 minutes today running through about 20 different knives. From paring knives, to cleavers and everything in-between - from straight edge, to wicked curves. The only one that wasn’t quick and fabulous was my thick bladed cleaver. It took quite a few more tries, but it is very thick and a very hard type of metal so it’s always sharpened slower. However, it came out wicked sharp. I can confirm this tiny little “toy-like” sharpener, that looks like it was built using a truck stop gift shop build-by-number baggie of parts actually is pretty great.

If you own a Rada knife the you need this, simple and it works. Good quality and should last a very long time.

The knife sharpeners are the BOMB! How can you beat inexpensive and easy to use? I use these on fish filet knives, paring knives, my butcher and chef knives and they are always razor sharp and ready to go. With this price, I pack one in my kitchen "go bag" for trips and vacations. They are easy and safe to use. The design is tinker toy simple but it works!!! A quick wipe down and you can throw it back in the drawer till next time. I have given a lot of these as little gifts and everyone loves these little suckers.

I’ve purchased 4 of these. The first 3 were without a doubt one of the best knife sharpeners I’ve ever used. The most recent one I’m a little disappointed with. It seems like the may have changed the material the wheels are made out of. The older ones you could feel & see the metal sharpening the blade when you pulled it. The newer ones seems to slide across the blade. Rada, go back to the material the older sharpener was made of.

This is a great compact knife sharpener. We love that it is easy to use and sharpens well. Seems to be made well with quality materials.

Love my knives so much I got the sharpener and it seems to work well in my double filed blade knives and has great rules.

Very good middle of the ground sharpening. It wont be the sharpest knife in existence but for the price and ease of use it's great for an average household kitchen.

Materialwert unter 1 Euro: kleines Plastikteil mit 2 Blechscheiben. Und funktioniert nicht. Habe nach Video Tutorials auf YT versucht mehrere Messer zu schärfen - ohne Erfolg. Musste es deshalb zurücksenden. Die guten Bewertungen sind m.E. überhaupt nicht nachvollziehbar.

I can now write a review after using the Rada sharpener! Wow! Great product to sharpen your knives. I have used another brand but found it left rough looking edges and a few noticeable shavings but with the Rada it had really fine shavings that wasn’t to noticeable and the edges were smooth and really sharp. Not bulky and fits in a drawer nicely. It was a great buy in my opinion. See for yourself!

The ADA Cutlery R119 Knife Sharpener 3pack arrived next busy day. I was able to sharpen all our knifes quickly. The 3 pack sharpener is good price for the value!

these used to be good. the current ones i bought are rounded on the back of the wheels where they should be sharp and square, as a result they are incapable of sharpening knives. very disappointing as i still have some i bought in 2020 for $8 each instead of the current price of $25-$30 each and those are still working fine. What happened RADA? you had a brilliant cheap simple product that worked wonders, how did you screw this up?
