Prior to using this product I had only used Aussie Total Miracle Restoring Oil and American Crew Forming Cream as hair products, so that's my basis for comparison. Typically I leave my hair short, but since growing it out a little bit (it's probably 4-5 inches) I started needing to put something in it to keep it in place a little, so I tried the Aussie oil and the Scotch & Porter Hair Serum. The Aussie Total Miracle Restoring Oil is amazing and leaves my hair soft, but doesn't provide any hold. The Scotch & Porter Smooth & Shine Hair Serum gives just a little hold and leaves the hair just as shiny, if not maybe a little more than the Aussie oil. It does make it just a little greasy (just a tiny bit) but that provides a little bit of hold that I kind of like. It's just enough to keep the little stragglers from hanging down onto my forehead.
