It's a tray. It's big. it's solid, sturdy and not flimsy.I use this to put my portable AC unit on to avoid any spillage or leakage that might occur from getting to my floors/carpet. The side walls are high enough to give this tray enough capacity to hold whatever might leak. I imagine this should fit any typical sized portable AC unit.This is a great value for the money to get a bit of peace of mind regarding appliance leakage.

Purchased to put under a dorm refrigerator. Does the job well, but as others have mentioned, it is a little deep and you will probably (depending on your particular refrigerator) need to put a spacer under each foot of the refrigerator in order for the door to open. Other than the depth, all dimensions are just about perfect.I guess it is so deep because they want to be sure it can hold anything that is drained from the refrigerator (or what ever you place inside). Large flower pot? Dog food dish/water? Tray for the back of an SUV to set gas can in? I am sure there are many possibilities.It is a little flimsy, but it is not intended to be a support or carrying tray, just a spill-catching pan. It does its job as intended. I do recommend it, but know before you buy it that you will likely need those spacers for a refrigerator. And don't plan to use it as a carrying tray...it is too flimsy.

A must for me for a window unit. Not too thin but not too thick. Thickness is just right. So far mine has been very durable. Has many uses.

I always wanted a fridge in my room and thanks to this drip tray, it was possible!I originally bought this because I was scared of any leaks from the fridge going onto the carpet. The fridge itself fits into the drip tray just fine! However, opening the fridge was not possible since the clearance of the fridge door was too low!My solution was to add some left over drywall underneath as a base for the fridge. Then put the fridge on top and voila! I can open it!So far the whole setup is doing just fine and I can’t complain! I can sleepy easy at night, knowing no spills will go on the floor!Thanks for reading!

I bought this to put under a small stand-up freezer in my basement (if the freezer was any larger from a width and depth perspective, this tray would be too small, so pay attention to your measurements). The floor is carpeted so I wanted something in between the freezer and carpet. I chose this because I wanted sides vs using some sort of mat that would not "catch" water when I defrost the unit.As other reviews said, the sides are a bit higher than I needed, so the freezer door can not open, but that is not the fault of the item; no stars deducted for that. I raised the freezer up ~2 inches by putting a 2x4x6 block under each corner and it is perfect (you can absolutely buy a riser for fridge or freezer, I just used the blocks since they were scrap in my garage already). Next time I defrost my freezer (manual, unplug and let defrost) I will not have any accidental excess water on the carpet.

I bought the plastic version of the pan. It is a great size, and quite sturdy. The plastic is just thick enough to make it durable without being excessive. I drilled a hole and converted mine into a drain pan to use with my hot water heater.

The tray is perfect for my mini fridge. In case of a power failure the freezer would drip onto the floor. The tray fits perfectly to catch the water and save the 2nd story hard wood floor and ceiling in the room below.
