Wax on, Wax off u c Danialson
I love woodworking because of the beauty, color and charecter of the individual species of wood. Every board is unique and painting the wood makes it just another board. That's fine if you need uniformity. However if you want a piece of wood to stand out for its color, grain and pattern wax is the best finish I know. Lacquer, shalac have better protection but lack the warmth wax imparts to a piece. I can't explain the richness waxed wood has but I personal have not been able to reproduce it using dyes, alkylines, ionized chemicals. The color of the wood doesn't change or "add A touch of glowing amber" . I call it yellow tinted urathain. It seals the pores of the wood stopping oxidation so the life of the wood remains intact. oxidation that results in a color change usually darker. Wax protects Giving years of unchanged beauty wrinkle free. Some times the other finishes wrinkle when not applied exactly as directed. The brush marks must be sanded down and lacquer dust is great for the lungs. Wax on following the grain, wax off like Danielson. Any mistake just gets buffed out. Any experienced woodworker will tell you wax is known for the depth it adds. One coat or more..three is my favorite depending on the wood..wax seems to put a halo on the wood with depth. Adding to the wood not covering, coloring or dryin it out. Which some other finishes dry the wood cracks, chips show up....too late. So wax s easy to apply and who knows you may be the next Bruce Lee. Make sure you get NATURAL FOR LIGHT WOODS, THE OTHER FOR DARKER woods, unless you preference is such

Great low-odor alternative that protects and repels water
I used this finishing wax during a DIY project on my kitchen cabinets, and it worked out really well. I wanted something to protect the surface without using polyurethane due to the strong fumes, and this was a great alternative. It’s easy to apply — just wipe on and wipe off — and it leaves a nice, protective finish. After several months, the cabinets still look great, and the surface holds up well. Water beads right off, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a kitchen environment. I’ve also used it on other items since then with good results. If you’re looking for a lower-odor option that still provides solid protection, this is a great choice. Five stars.

Great Finishing For Chalk Paint
This is my first time chalk painting furniture. I used this wax to finish two side tables - chalk paint( FOLKART Plaid 34159 Home Decor Chalk, 8-Ounce, Cascade ) and wax brush( Chalk Painter's Choice - Professional Wax Brush {R15} ). The wax brush was a huge disappointment, and as a beginner, I realized it better to use this with a simple wash cloth and not a brush. The first thing that made me very nervous about this finishing wax was the huge warning label that read "Contains solvents which can cause permanent brain and nervous system damage". This freaked me out and I used this on my balcony, kept it far from my face and tried not to breathe while using the product. If you've ever used it this way, you know it's fairly hard to use. After I relaxed a little, I started to notice the difference in made on my furniture. The beautiful tiffany blue darkened subtly, evening out and smoothing the paint. After a day of drying, it really made a huge difference to my chalk painted side tables. I like that it doesn't give my side tables an overly shiny feel. I don't want it to look like painted laminate, I want it to look natural, and this finishing wax does that in spades. This is also a huge quantity, the two side tables I used this on barely made a dent in the tin. I have plenty left for my future chalk painting endeavors. I have found chalk painting furniture to be a lot easier than any other paint and finishing wax makes it even easier. I think finishing wax makes using chalk paints even more forgiving than they already are, smoothing and evening out for that lovely finished look. I would recommend this for any new chalk painter. It's easy to use and give furniture a great and natural look.

Exactly the result I wanted
When I got around to gently restoring an old barrister bookcase system in which my father had stored paint in the basement, I wanted to clean it up (obviously), darken the orangey oak, shellac, then dull the glossy finish with a quick sanding followed by a couple hand-rubbed coats of wax. The Minwax Paste Finishing Wax worked perfectly. It was initially a little stiff and crumbly, but melted nicely once I balled up a golf ball sized wad wrapped inside a couple layers of cheesecloth. I rubbed it in using small circles, let it dry an hour or so, repeated once, then finally buffed with a microfiber cloth. Got exactly the sheen I wanted, a happy wife, a happy life!

Versatile paste wax finish!
Versatile good quality paste wax finish. I wipe it on metal table tops, tools and moving parts and then buff it for a durable long lasting finish that resists corrosion/rust and moisture. Also great for wood working projects as a final finish. A little goes a long way

The Go-To for a Beautiful, Natural Wood Finish
I've been using Minwax Paste Finishing Wax on various woodworking projects for a while now, and it's consistently my top choice for a protective finish. This wax is incredibly effective, especially when you want to achieve a classic, hand-rubbed luster without the heavy feel of polyurethane. The application is straightforward, even for a beginner. It's thick, so I recommend using a clean cloth or a double layer of cheesecloth to apply a thin, even coat. After letting it dry for about 10-15 minutes, a quick buff with a clean cloth or a weighted buffer brings out a beautiful, subtle sheen that truly highlights the natural grain of the wood. I've used it on everything from a newly built coffee table to old wooden dresser drawers that were sticking, and the results have been fantastic every time. It's a reliable product that provides long-lasting protection and a professional look.

Beautiful finish
This was recommended to me by a woodworking craftsman. He makes custom furniture for rich people. I used it on 2 pieces. One was a rustic dining table that I wanted to look as natural as possible. It did not change the color at all, but seemed to bring out the wood grain and the finish is so soft to touch. The second piece is a nightstand that I used bright colored furniture stains on. It was bleeding on the objects I put on the table. I used this wax finish as a way of sealing the color. It not only worked well, but the finish looks so much richer and more professional. It looked like a home project before, and now it looks like something you would find in an artsy furniture store. It's completely changed the look for the better. And that creamy soft feel is amazing.

Good quality product
I bought this polish for finishing wood turning items and it is ideal for lighter woods. It's easy to apply and buffs to a very attractive lustre. The only issue is that it was shipped from the USA and took ages to arrive!
