Been looking for a book showcasing the beauty of woodland finds and creations

This is a beautiful, high quality book. The photography is top notch.The book is great if you are looking for ideas, but what I was really hoping for was a book with both ideas and instructions on how to make the projects. A few projects did instruct you but most did not. I think the book is a keeper, and if I decide to attempt to make any of the projects in here, I'll just find the materials and figure it out on my own.

This book is an amazingly crafted guide through some of the most spectacular "natural wonders" fostered by a true artist. Marlene Marshall so gracefully encourages all of her readers to truly look closely just outside their door - there is art to be had! The other artists and their works included in the book just compound the inspiration that art is not just created - it is sometime wrestled with, dug up, turned over and "ruined" by the elements. Each one of the projects encouraged by this author offers everyone a chance to feel the excitement that working with natural components brings. Rather than feeling like we can tame nature, she urges us to join in its wild dance!

Not what I was expecting. More nick-nacky than household furnishings. Things for the walls and table tops and garden, that kind of things. Good color pictures and a variety of rustic art. I bought the book used and got enough value out of the book to be pleased with it.

It is a high quality book as far as paper and ink and pictures go. It would make a great edition as a show piece to thumb through. Unfortunately, I was hoping more for realistic, rustic, designs and instructions for turning found elements into artistic pieces for my home rather than simply looking at what other people have done in their homes.... Ideas -- yes... Great Ideas? Not so much. Instructions? Nope...

It has some nice pictures of various types of rustic designs. I had hoped to get basic information on constructing stick trellis/furniture but all instructions for small junky items built with hot glue guns, and how to create vine wreaths with paper covered wire fasteners....

What a fun book and in great shape. I had been eye balling it for 3 years at a book store and just couldn't bring myself to pay full price for it, real glad that I finally purchased it though.

Great inspirational reference for this type of design. A keeper.
