Really works nicely!
I was a bit tentative to try this, but it was actually really easy to use and not that scary at all! I followed the minimal instructions and also looked up a video of someone using a similar device. One thing I liked about this one over others I saw is that when you discharge the static after you've finished, it doesn't spark like some others I saw in the videos! Does really work though you can see the grass move with the static and gives a nice natural look (used for all the flocking in the attached photo!)

Brilliant !!
Fantastic gadget. Really recommend this. I covered a large area of my model railway with basic green grass, then loaded it with different shades of grass and ended up with realistic hills. It is far better than the Peco applicator which stopped working after ten minutes and never worked again. And this one is half the price too!!

Surprisingly good results.
With the two meshes I was able to apply grasses from 2mm to 12mm on my model railway. The applicator was easy to use and produced good results in small areas. The grass looked realistic. I have not tried flocking over a large area. I hope it keeps working. I would say very good value for money.

Excellent results
I took a chance on this as the more known/reviewed applicators were extremely expensive. Fantastic results! Make sure you hold the applicator close to the grass you have applied immediately after to ensure the static makes it stand up. Didn't realise this at first. Easy to use, very pleased.

Cheap but seems to work
This seems quite cheaply made. This does not seem to have a dedicated on/off switch so is always “live”. Unless I am going blind or mine is faulty as it does have a button to hold on in which lights up a green LED but I thought this just shows it’s live and ready to apply the grass. The only way I seem to be able to stop it being live is to take a battery out, which also seems a bit risky as I am sure I got a very mild shock when I touched the battery compartment to do this. The product itself comes with two different size sieves which are easy to screw on and off, you need to make sure the red “live” wire is touching the metal if the sieve then apply the black clip to the area you are putting the grass down on. It seems to work ok as I have tried a little test patch on a diorama I am doing and it went down well. You will need to buy some decent static grass so WWscenics or Woodland Scenics as the stuff supplied is awful unless you want to spend time putting that down then painting it.For an occasional user or if you’re not too bothered by the quirks then give it a go. I would probably say when this packs up I would probably put my hands in my pocket for a better quality one.

Great little machine
Brought this to use on our model railway and it gives a really good covering of static grass. Would definitely recommend as good quality for the money.

Impressed
Bought to 'lay grass' on a model. It was surprisingly easy to use and I was very happy with the results. As was the DT teacher.

Such good grass
It really boosted the look of grass on my layout. If only i had used it years ago. Didn’t have that much faith but it’s something i havnt got so worth a try. Seems a fragile tool. But the results are excellent. So pleased with it.
