Built very well will last for generations
I have to say this pan the 10 1/4 is probably the best pan value I have purchases to date. I normally season pans in the oven for an hour but I decided to give the included instructions a try. Actually worked out well and provided a seasoning in much less time. Then I did my normal chopped up a potato and fried it till it was burn almost black. At this point the pan looked ready to go to me so I used it to cook my eggs over easy. I was extremely pleased my eggs floated on the pan and I was able to just flip them with a pan toss. That is another advantage of this pan and one of the reasons I gave it a try. My other carbon steel pans are very heavy almost as much as iron and there is no way to pan toss anything. This pan is half the weight and very easy to manage you can easy toss eggs or anything you are cooking. I was easy tossing the potato peels I was frying. So keep in mind like any carbon steel or iron pan you have to season it to make it non stick. Also keep in mind this is more of a French style pan and not a skillet. More for frying foods in small batches, flipping or tossing, so it can hold small amounts of liquid and food best.Update:This pan has become our go to pan, it is now used daily more than once a day. It is totally non stick better then any traditional non stick pan we have ever owned in the past. We cooks eggs daily and with less oil then I would put in a traditional non stick pan eggs just float in this pan. I will be buying more sizes as this has worked out so well for us. The more you use it the better it gets!

Excellent high heat distribution
The pan feels light, definitely easy to work with. After washing it with soap, fried salted potato peels in vegetable oil until crispy. Pan bottom popped out slightly on glass top electric stove while hot. Wonder if it will stabilize after hours of use Handle remained nice and cool. Washed the pan with hot water fairly easily. Then did two cycles of coconut oil heating to smoking, wiped and repeated twice. Will report more after further use, so far four out of five due to pan bottom deforming when heated.Following day shows minimal deformity due to heat. Cooking on medium heat produces fantastic home fries, and eggs won't stick and brown beautifully with a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Clean up is easy with got water and no soap sponge. Dry thoroughly and put away.

Warping! Failed To Go Back To Its Original Shape
This black carbon steel frying pan came earlier than I expected. However, it was loosely packed, so it came with some scratches.I followed the instructions for its initial seasoning. It was warped terribly on my glass top stove with below medium heat, but it went back to its original shape this time. The next day I cooked a steak in it, and surprisingly it didn’t stick. Food came out very tasteful, but this black carbon steel frying pan was warped terribly again with below medium heat. It failed to go back to its original shape anymore.Overall, I like its design very much. It is not heavy, heats up very fast, not to mention what a breeze to clean. But I would not recommend it if you have a glass top stove.

Pretty Good for the Price
Pretty sure it has a coating similar to other carbon steel pans. One of the rivets was a little bent out of shape, but it didn't affect the handle. Could see food getting stuck in the gap. Now, that BK has a wok, I'm going with that.

Carbon steel skillet, no good
I thought that this was very good skillet, but it changed color to dark brown, got rusted & could not be used further after 2 uses on induction cooktop

Good for kitchen or camping
I use it mostly in the kitchen. Go through seasoning 3x before use. I think I'll prefer this to cast iron for camping because of the weight and similar properties.

Nice pan.
The cooks new favorite pan. Light weight and very well made. It is a good size and once it is seasoned it is nonstick and easy to clean. Heats up and cools down fast.
