Logitech Type S Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 , Black

I bought this for my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and am very satisfied with it. The tablet fits in the case perfectly and is very sturdy. It only has one viewing angle but from what I have seen that is pretty standard. It connects using Bluetooth and was a very easy to get connected. The keys are close to normal size keys but the spacing is a lot closer than a standard keyboard. It has magnets that hold the case closed when folded up for carrying. The screen automatically turns off when you close the lid. The tablet slides down on top of the keyboard when you want to use it without the keyboard. Spacers keep it from hitting the keys and it also automatically disconnects the keyboard as well so you don't have to worry about accidently pressing keys in tablet mode. I cant comment on battery life since I just got it but is should last weeks on a single charge. The charging port is on the side and it comes with a standard USB cable. One feature that I really like is there is a dedicated button for screen captures. Typing is best done with the tablet/keyboard on a flat surface, but I usually use it on my lap and have not had any problems with it. The escape key is dual function. Normally it acts as the back button(same as pressing the back button on the tablet.) I didn't realize this when I first got it and thought it was just a normal escape key. If you hit function + esc it acts like an escape key. One feature that would be nice would be an option for a lighted keyboard. Overall I would highly recommend this keyboard case.** Update 11/25/2017 - Been using this keyboard for about a year and its still going strong. The battery last forever it seems. I usually plug it in to the charger maybe once a month.

This is a good solid keyboard. Keys feel nice. Build seems solid. No problems getting Bluetooth connected either initially or when using. The only issue I have with it is that in the tablet mode, i.e. with the tablet folded back face up over the keyboard, the open side of the fold doesn't secure, so it can be a bit hard to hold that way. My one recommendation to improve the product would be some kind of velcro or magnet to secure it in that position. This is not at all an issue using it in the working keyboard position nor in the closed position. So this is still a good product and if you want a nice keyboard to type on, you won't be disappointed.

A solid keyboard case at the original price, I made my decision for the Logitech case over the Samsung one, when Amazon ran these on sale for less that $30 (it may still be going on)! The keyboard works well; the shortcut keys are convenient, the magnet mount works well, and I have very much enjoyed having it. The depth of the key strokes is also very good, for something so thin; very little adjustment time is needed before it feels completely natural. I'm typing this very review on it, as a matter of fact! It instantly made my tablet a productivity device, as well as just a nice object with which to consume media or browse the web.One fiddly comment: it would be nice to have an actual battery meter, or some other indication of battery life. However, the battery is sizable and the management of it seems quite good, meaning very long run times. The run times seem so good, though, that I get to a point where I'm wondering '"just how much more life is left on this thing?," which underscores why it would be nice to have that icon or something that gave an actual percentage.This is a small complaint, though, and I really appreciate this case. It does what it advertises without a fuss, just as a product like this should!

It's well made, and the typing feel is good. It always correctly wakes up and sleeps the tablet when opened/closed. There are function keys that are shortcuts to useful functions (like home, app switcher, etc.). But there are some things I am not crazy about:- It's kind of heavy.- There's only one viewing angle (but maybe these kinds of cases are all like that, I dunno...)- When you prop it up as shown in the photo (i.e. "laptop" style), there's only a shallow dent at the top edge of the keyboard with a magnet for holding the tablet up at the correct angle. When I rest it on my lap and move it around, the magnet often loses its grip and the tablet flops down. If you use this mostly on a desk this won't be an issue, but if the dent had been deeper or the magnet stronger, that would have been even better!- There's an ugly fabric tag sticking out of the front of the keyboard that serves no purpose except to show the Logitech logo. I yanked it out with a pair of pliers, but if you do that, note that it will leave a slight gap in that part of the case.- It's at least 1/4" wider than the tablet all around, which does allow a slightly wider keyboard, but which also increases size and weight.- The function keys can't be reconfigured but they mostly work as desired, except the email key launches the Samsung email app instead of Gmail.

Works perfectly with my Samsung tablet. Connects immediately and has great battery life. Perfect fit for my hands. I would definitely recommend this keyboard caseUpdate: I downgraded the stars on this. It lasted 4 months. It won't hold a charge and is useless. The concept was great and while it worked, it was awesome. It connected immediately and performed wonderfully. But now...nothing. I've very disappointed. The battery won't charge....and it won't work even when plugged up. I doubt I'll purchase another one even though when working it was perfect.

This case is awesome! The tablet fit is very secure. The pairing was automatic and fast, and it pairs immediately upon opening the case every time. The keys have a great tactile feel, and are very quiet. I haven't seen a single key error (lag/repeat/wrong key). The keyboard layout is intuitive. I like the feel of the case itself - it has a soft, non-slip feel to it. I looked at the official Samsung keyboard, but prefer this one. It definitely offers more bump protection, but is slim and light. You won't be unhappy with this keyboard case.
