Not for testing water
These are laboratory grade strips literally used in laboratories to test buffered solutions. But are seemingly terrible for testing pure water which is what I originally purchased them for. See photo of these strips compared to a calibrated laboratory pH meter.

Professional pH strips
These are essentially the same as the strips made for lab use. The color response is long lasting, and I have used the same strip multiple times (within reason).
