My dog needs to take half of a pill twice a day. Unfortunately, they're monstrous so typical pill cutters are too small. This is the only one I've been able to find that would fit his pill. If I'm not paying attention to where I'm placing the pill, the blade holder sometimes shatters the pill into multiple pieces, but as long as I center it just right, it does a really great job. It's a great quality pill cutter that looks like it will literally last forever.

I have had several plastic pill cutters but they often broke on my larger pills. The Pill Mill is made of durable aluminum construction. I was amazed at the weight of the cutter. It is first class quality. It cuts my larges pills with ease. Built to last a lifetime.

Total garbage. Do NOT waste your money!Does not split pills into two pieces. It crushes the pill and leaves uneven pieces instead of 2 neat halves.I bought this specifically because it was highly rated and looked to be sturdy. It CRUSHES the pill as opposed to cutting it. The aluminum body is very sturdy, but it doesn't work in its main function, i.e. cutting pills.[ See pictures ]A cheap plastic throwaway from CVS works better than this crap, even though it has to be replaced every week or so as the blade dulls.Don't buy this as it does not work. I will be returning it.

Love this cutter extremely heavy duty great for big pills and vitamins..But need to. Lisen the hinge screws slightly the lid is flat with the sides of the cutter base and is diicult to open unless you have nails. I clued a small piece if toothpick to the front of the lid to make it easier to open

Cuts pills like it's going out of style!!!Watch out for the blade when opening, looks like an issue could result from drunken/high usage... Blade mostly exposed after opening, but does it job, AND does it well. keep your cupcake hands out of the blade path, and blade area when opened also, and all good. Don' teach in, but flip it over and let gravity do it's job...

I use these to split pills 30/40 at a time. Not the best for that. The lid is really hard to open fully, the metal finish slips in my hand. The blade, unguarded in any way sticks out enough to brush a knuckle or nail. It was clumsy to use repeatedly, and its weight adds to the clumsiness. I split 30 enteric coated smallish ovals, they split fairly well, only a few chipped. There’s no spare chamber for storing, no corners for pouring. This would be good for splitting large pills one at a time, but I’ll go back to a plastic one for my needs.
