Please note, you cannot simply use any splitting or chopping axe for axe throwing. This axe has been specially designed & manufactured for axe throwing with its extremely thin blade profile and straight handle designed for an easier release when throwing. - 🎯17" Straight Handle: Our handles are built long by design. This gives them the ability to be cut down and adjusted based on throwing style, height, distance and weight. Cut in "1/4 increments and test thoroughly between cuts. - 🎯Flat Blade Design: This axe is intended for intermediate to advanced throwers. Always check floors and targets. Ensure targets (mostly bullseyes and killshots) are free of knots that could damage or chip the axe blade. Ensure floors have strong enough padding, plywood or OSB. We take great pride in the handmade axes we produce for our WATL axe throwers all over the world. **Q: What generation is this particular butcher?** A: I do believe this Butcher is the 1st generation. Has not been out as long as many of their other axes with multiple generations. Just got mine and to me it's the best one. And between me and the wife we have 5 different WATL axes. WATL has just come out with an updated version of 4 or 5 of their current axes (Butcher include) called "professional". They are the same as before but with an even thinner blade , and higher priced. Not identified by "generation". If you are looking at one at this great sale price just jump on it. You will love it. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Butcher: World Axe Throwing League Premium Competition Throwing Axe with Throwing Hatchet Nylon Sheath and Hickory Wooden Handle (Patented Design) - The Ace of Spades (3rd Generation): World Axe Throwing League Premium Competition Throwing Axe with Throwing Hatchet Nylon Sheath and Hickory Wooden Handle (Patented Design) - The Corporal (2nd Generation): World Axe Throwing League Premium Competition Throwing Axe with Throwing Hatchet Nylon Sheath and Hickory Wooden Handle (Patent Pending) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/227630097-the-butcher](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/227630097-the-butcher) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
