Vertx EDC Courier Bag, Black with Red Trim, One Size

I wanted to use this bag for awhile before writing a review so I really could put it to use before rating it. I work overseas as a defense contractor, and I have used this bag for both travel to and from, and as my primary daily go bag.Pros:1. The bag is absolutely top quality on material and construction, an so far I've had no frays or tears at all. The bag gets tossed around in vehicles, rained on, and left in the dirt.2. Perfect size for an EDC bag both at home running errands, or oversea carrying miscellaneous gear.Cons:1. I did like the plastic panel in the back that stiffened the bag as I prefer a more flexible, less rigid bag, but this is a personal preference. If you are wearing body armor or a gun belt; the stiffer bag doesn't mold to the body as well. Probably less of an issue if stateside for EDC.2. The external pouches could be slightly higher to fully cover larger nalgene or coffee thermoses. The current pouches only really hold a small water bottle at best.3. The only thing I hate about this bag is the internal admin pouches as they do not hold a single piece of gear for long at all. I typically keep a tourniquet, GPS, multitool, knife, etc., and without fail I find all items in the bottom of the bag consistently. This is sole reason for the 3 star review of the bag. Maybe a velcro strap to help retain smaller items in the admin slots.

Great bag. Best part me is that in addition to being super functional is that it doesn't scream "I'm Tommy Tacticool!! Check me out!" like so many bags of this ilk. Voluminous enough for modern larger laptops, good access to spaces, closures are high-quality, adaptable for your use. Plenty of room without being bulky, and just enough pockets and organization to make it useful without being too many bits and bobs to find anything. The only minor niggles are the grab handle on top is a thin webbing that's out of place on the otherwise rugged and durable pack, and the elastic side pouches have the elastic tensioners and clip on the INSIDE of the pouch, where they hang up on anything you insert, every time. Really odd, can't imagine why that was decided. Still overall a great bag: I've used lots and live out of these things for my mobile work and this is my best ever so far.

I conducted weeks and weeks of extensive research to find the perfect, slightly tactical everyday carry office bag. I tried two other bags. One of which almost hit the mark, but was too small. The other failed miserably in multiple ways. The Vertx EDC Courier on the other hand has absolutely everything I was looking for. It has all of the administration compartments I could ask for, yet doesn’t look too tactical to carry to an office. The laptop compartment is well padded, and allows room for a bigger laptop if I were to upgrade later. Overall, the bag looks and feels very well built. My only complaint about this bag would be the seemingly feeble looking handle; it feels strong but looks as if it would snap.

This bag is awesome. You won’t be disappointed.Three suggestions for the manufacturer so they may be available for the next time I have to buy this bag...1. Invert the channels on the back to allow for better air flow.2. A cut proof shoulder strap would be awesome to stop thieves.2.5. Make the included shoulder strap removable.3. A bungee to help lock in water bottles in side pockets

I have been searching for a edc bag for a while now. I'm not happy with this purchase. The bag on the bottom doesn't seem to be sized right it is pinched and the padding bunches up in the middle of the bag. This causes everything in the bags main storage area to wedge in the corners and it's always tipping over. I also thought I'd like the front pocket panel cover .. I hate it .. It doesn't feel secure at all.. the velcro holds everything but the pocket behind the panel just feels wrong and I don't want to put anything in it.The zippers are awesome.I love how the main storage compartment opens, the zipper how it wraps around and you can really open the main part wide is great.

What can i say. I spent lots of money trying to find the best bag. I use this bag for EDC, and to carry my 15" macbook pro. This bag fit all my stuff. with ease and i do carry LOTS of stuff.

Love this bag, two things I'd improve. First would be the strap. Its adjustable, but not really on the fly on demand. It's not a big problem, but sometimes I might want it a little tighter.2nd thing. I like the easy access pouch at the top, I could use another one though. Any pouches are inside the main compartment. And lastly, the flap for pens and the like. Useless, I tried and gave up on them.

Got this to use for work as a homecare therapist, wanted something that would stand up to constant use. It's a good bag. Well built. Expect it will last for years, but not quite as much room as I'd hoped inside. Another pocket in front instead of the tear away flap would be better as well. You can hook the front flap so that it only partially opens, but the Velcro opening is a little bit of a pain if you're in/out of it all day like I am.
