Great WiFi adapter! 👍
Amazing. Works as expected and is super fast. Setup wasn’t bad at all and for the price you are getting really good connection and WiFi speeds. If you are going to plug it in your PC however, make sure you plug it in at the top so gets the best connection and speed as possible, the higher the better.

It's Effortless to Install and Use
Awesome wireless antenna. I have a 13-year-old Lenovo laptop that I upgraded the memory and added solid state drives to it runs Windows 10 pretty well. The laptop only came with a 2G wireless adapter, so I put this adapter in and it immediately got me working on 5G wireless networks. Plug and play!!!

GREAT PRODUCT - WORKS AS DESCRIBED.
Works great. Plug and use.... fixed my issue of weak wifi connection due to internal PC antenna damage. Actually, works better than the OEM set-up from manufacturer. Vendor was great - arrived on time, and functioned as described. Cant ask for more - even the price is decent. All around a warm and fuzzy feeling after receiving this product from vendor.

How I got 802.11ac and 5G working in Windows 11
I've increased from 3 stars to 4 as a result of the following workaround. Can't give 5 stars because the workaround was necessary, and because it took many hours to find! The following apparently solves the problem of being stuck with 2.4G (Wifi 4). Despite all my previous efforts, the device would eventually revert to 802.11n which is limited to 2.4G and Wifi 4. Then I found this:1) Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center.Identify the TP-Link adapter device. Right mouse -> Properties. Then Configure. Driver tab. Uninstall Device (and attempt to remove driver). Then IMMEDIATELY unplug the USB device.2) Control panel -> Programs and features - TP-Link Archer driver (etc) - if it exists, uninstall it.3) Plug in the Linksys Archer T3U into Windows 11 computer USB 3.0 portThen Right-click on This PC -> Manage; then select Device Manager.Under Network Adapters find TP-Link wireless USB AdapterRight mouse click on the device, then select PropertiesGo to the Advanced tabClick on "Wireless Mode". In the drop-down box, select IEEE 802.11acClick on "OK"If the above solution does not remain successful, I will come back and edit again.ORIGINAL REVIEWThis TP-Link AC-1300 Archer TCU Plus adapter works like it is supposed to.... but only IF you use the latest driver from the TP-Link web site. Based on my experience, the driver that is included on the DVD only gives you Wifi 4 (802.11n) compatibility. Similarly, when I plugged it in without first installing any driver, Windows only supplied a 802.11n driver. The driver I downloaded from the TP-Link web site gives Wifi 5 (802.11ac) compatibility. In Windows 11, once I installed this adapter and connected to a network, I checked what kind of connection I got via the Wifi icon on the bottom right of the task bar. I clicked on that icon, and then on the ">" symbol next to the Wifi connection. Then click on the blue "i" in the blue circle next to the connection. Under "Protocol" iit shows what kind of connection you have: Wifi 4 (802.11n) or Wifi5 (802.11ac).Be sure to install the new downloaded driver BEFORE you plug in the new adapter. Otherwise the 802.11n driver will be automaticaly installed by Windows, and you'll need to uninstall it before you can get the new driver to install properly. If you've already installed the driver from the disk that came with the adapter, you'll need to go into the Control Panel -> Programs and Features to uninstall it before installing the downloaded driver. If instead you attempt to install the downloaded driver without removing the one from the disk yourself, the downloaded installer will attempt to remove it, but will fail. It will appear to have worked, but you'll still get only 802.11n.Once I figured all that out and navigated it successfully, the adapter works wonderfully - significantly better than the adapter inside my PC. I've deducted two stars for the installation challenges. There are multiple ways to get it installed incorrectly. I suspect a lot of people are just using it as an 802.11n device without realizing it. I hope this review helps some people get the full benefits of this device. When properly installed, it is a significant improvement on the adapter inside my PC.ORIGINAL EDIT: I've had to turn off Windows driver updates and also uninstall Dell Support Assist because both services replace the driver for this adapter with an incorrect driver (which lacks 802.11ac support.) If you're not willing to do that, you might want to consider a different adapter.

Great upgrade in speed from other dongle
I replaced my old dongle with this one and it was such a significant upgrade to my speed! I only wish that it had better Linux support (I am dual boot), but I am highly satisfied with the windows performance so far.

Easy to set up and use.
Quick and simple. Plugged it in and loaded the program disk and off we go! My old computer lost its wifi board and this antenna kit made it work like new. Great product.

Works but is not the best
Recently bought a PC that has a new 2.5gb wired network adapter built in but I noticed that sometimes it hangs/locks up. This is a known issue with the realtek chipset. While I wait for new drivers and a solution, decided to pick up a wireless adapter to game as getting a new network card is not an option (no space available on the motherboard)I wanted a 2.4/5g adapter as my high end tri band netgear router has both frequencies. After plugging in the device on a usb3.1 port, it was recognized immediately on windows10. I was able to see the 3 bands my router puts out. so I connected to the one I know gets the best speeds (5g channel 153).Then I proceeded to do some speed tests. My PC sits on the other room from the router, separated by a single wall, about 20ft away.My internet speeds top out at 430mbps.I was not able to get over 230mbps with this adapter no matter what I tried. Changed drivers, tried 2 different ones. Change to a lower 5G channel, use different USB ports (3.1 and 3.0) and using a usb extension cable to place the adapter on top of the case. Nothing got me over 230mbps. Also, my ping went from 6ms on ethernet to about 12-16ms on wireless, but that is normal. As a comparison, I placed my samsung note 20 phone next to the usb adapter and ran speed tests using the same server and I was getting 420mbps down. This tells me that the issue cant be the antenna, the ports or the PC. The problem is the cheap bradcomm wifi adapter inside this unit. I mean, my phone has tiny antennas and picks up full signal on the other side of the wall and maxes out on download speeds, while this unit with its supposed high gain antenna cant do better than half the speed.I guess I cant expect too much from a 20 dollar adapter. Its just they should not advertise it with so many great features that dont mean anything if the device is limited by such a crappy chipset. Features like max 867mbps on 5ghz, multi MIMO, high gain antenna and USB 3.0. It is possible that speeds might get better, but I would have to be sitting right next to my router and that defeats the purpose
