Beyond The Rose Paperback – Unabridged, July 22, 2014

I was appalled at the poor punctuation and grammar. Many run-on sentences where you had to insert the punctuation yourself in order for it to make sense. This book didn't seem to have been proof-read or edited before published. This really detracted from the otherwise cute story.

Good story

The ideas of the book were good but the author did not develop the story. There could have been a great mystery but everything was solved in a paragraph.

book's mood much more than thoughtful, as it is emotional and a page turner since always something happening...a family adventure of discovry and mystery with real people in real time...from suspense to almost tears...hope there is a sequeal as very good characters with multi-generations and stories that could belong to anyone

some history was noted in this book, which is just fine.

Really enjoyed this book. Liked the way the characters were developed and the mysteries kept me going. A nice romance without all the detailed intimacies. Look forward to her next book!

Just read Beyond the Roses, loved loved the book, I felt that I was part of the story. Can't wait for JoAnn Flanery next book.

This started out as a very promising story but then fell into a narration of daily events. I was expecting the book to end every time a chapter concluded but it went on. It's a five year narration of the wondrous life of a marriageable aged woman. The writing runs on with no regard for correct punctuation. The spelling and grammar are atrocious - did she not use an editor or at best a word processor? The very obvious errors caused rifts in the flow of the book. I'm surprised I read it to the end but then I am an optimist and was always hoping there was a point to this story.
