Some colors not accurate
I decided to give the at home SNS a try, and this kit definitely has most of the things you would need! It did not come with anything to push the cuticles up, so that was a little frustrating, but other than that the kit works great. My other complaint would be that the plain/not glittery colors are not accurate. I bought this kit for the darker colors and was a bit unsatisfied when I put them on. They are more of a bright red and magenta, rather than a dark burgundy and dark magenta.

Chipped even after mastering application
I used this several times as there’s a bit of a learning curve in using the product. I was meticulous in every application and got better and better at it each time. I don’t rate this product low with ease. But I know that I followed the directions perfectly and mastered the use of it over time and still, every time I used it, they looked really amazing but always chipped within two days or so. I tried altering the thickness. I made sure the coats were put on evenly. I made sure I didn’t buff down too thin. I made sure the activation was put on impeccably. And still, they chipped within a few days. I have very strong nails too so I can’t attribute the chipping to bending. I’m not into anything rigorous with my hands so I can’t blame it on wear and tear. And as I said, time after time of meticulous use, they still chipped.

If it seems too good to be true- it is.
I thought this system would be an investment for my two daughters and I, since it's so expensive for all of us to get nails done at a salon. Salon dips last weeks in perfect condition, so I thought if we even got half that time of use out of this it would be worth it. When it arrived my bottle #2 was almost empty, I only got 1 use out of it, but at least that order was refunded. I bought another bottle of #2 and gave the system about 2 months of use before writing. But after many attempts, we can't get these nails to last even 1 day. I have short nails, trimmed all the way down, but the slightest activity- washing dishes, opening a door, can cause a chunk to chip off at the edge! After a few days our nails look worse than if we had used regular paint! But removal of the remainder of the nail dip is a nightmare! All the time you saved not having to wait for nails to dry, you lose in the removal. You have three options- try to soak them off in salon-grade acetone for hours, grind them off with a professional nail dremmel for hours, or the very tempting- peel them off. Peeling off is so easy, but it takes LAYERS of natural nail off with it. 3 days of wear = permanently damaged and cracked nails that have to completely grow out to recover. I bought 2 sets of this stuff so I could have every color, but now I wouldn't even sell it or give it away.

LOVE!! Totally worth the money! Highly recommend!!
Love this dip powder kit! I was nervous at first but it was so easy to apply and so easy to take off! It levels very nicely on its own, I did have some clumping on a couple nails the first 2-3 times I used it but I think it was because I didn’t know what exactly to do and I was using to much of the base coat. Other than the small learning curve this kit is super easy and very affordable! My nails lasted at least 2-2 1/2 weeks! I would highly recommend this kit or any of their kits!!

BREAK OFF AFTER 2 DAYS!
I bought this dip nail set so that I can start doing my nails at home and know that they will last a while - was very disappointed with the result. I did my nails on a Saturday night and at least half of them chipped off/broken by Monday afternoon! Normal nail polish lasts longer than this!!! DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! Very upset that I payed for this as the time it takes to do my nails is definitely not worth how long they stay on my nails. Very disappointed with my purchase.

Looks great, fun and easy to apply, but doesn't last
I am generally pretty terrible at painting my own nails--I end up touching them before they're fully dried, I put too much on and get an uneven coat, and they start chipping and peeling almost immediately.I heard about dip powder manicures recently and was curious to see if they would be easier to apply and would last longer. My experience with this Lavender Violets kit was a little mixed. This was my first ever attempt at doing a dip powder manicure though, so take my experience with a grain of salt.Application (5/5): It's a little strange at first, but I found the application process to be pretty easy. I was particularly happy with how quickly each layer dried. After applying the last top coat I'd say my nails were completely set after 3-4 minutes. Once you get used to the process, I really don't think there's a significant difference in the time it takes to finish between this and a regular manicure. It was also a lot easier for me to avoid getting unwanted color all over my fingers near my nail.Appearance (5/5): It's not salon quality, but it still looks very nice. If you do a good job filing after applying the pigment (which I admittedly didn't do) it will look almost like you went to the salon to get your nails done. The colors are great too, though they don't look exactly like in the pictures.Durability (3/5): Once you're done your manicure will be solid, just like a gel manicure, but I felt that it was almost to the point of being brittle. Within the first day the tips of my nails were already chipping on my dominant hand. It also feels almost as if the manicure shrunk slightly on my nails and is compressing them a bit.Value for Money (5/5): I can't complain too much about paying $20 for this kit. You get 8 colors with multiple applications per color. You'd pay more for several colors of regular nail polish at the store that last about as long but don't look as nice. Plus it's honestly kind of fun doing your nails this way.Bottom line: I had high hopes that this would give me a durable manicure that would last more than a few days. While I can't say that it delivered on that score, it's also possible that practice and a better application technique may help improve the longevity of the manicure. If you're looking for a fun new way to do your nails and are maybe just looking for something that will look great for a night out, you should definitely try this.

My Kitchen Table Dip Manicure
I finally decided to try a dip kit at home. This works great. The powders are really nice. The top coat brush bristles occasionally gets stuck together but they provide the brush cleaner as well. I highly recommend watching some YouTube videos first because there are a lot of tips that make a big difference in the overall appearance of the manicure. I do wish you could buy single colors in the brand—I’ve only seen the full kits.

Really good value and great product
I have switched from gels to dip powder as the finish is so much better and longer lasting

First try wasn’t too bad!
It’s harder than I thought. But with more practice, I think it’s a great alternative to gel and polish!
