Some Things You Should Know
These 5 stars are mostly based on expectations, as the tool only arrived yesterday. I examined it and I already own an older Skeletool CX, so I expect it to be fine. I will update this if problems arise.Skeletools don't have as many tools as most multi-tools but they're lighter and less bulky. You can carry one like you'd carry any clip knife.I'm not accusing the seller, Texas Tool Crafters Inc., of anything nefarious but I think they should inform potential customers of the following...1-- This is not a Leatherman product. It's a Leatherman product that's been modified by the seller. Texas Tool Crafters Inc. applies the black finish and installs their own Damascus blade.2-- You don't get a Leatherman warranty, you get a Texas Tool Crafters Inc. warranty. They say it is equivalent to Leatherman's warranty.I thought I was buying a Leatherman tool. They tell people on their ebay page what I'm telling you, so I don't know why they don't tell Amazon customers.

Not sure if worth the extra money
I upgraded from the steel bladed skeletool. The wanted the damascus blade because I wanted something sharper and less shiny than the steel blade. The steel that comes on the regular skeletool is supremely sharp and very high grade. So good, in fact, that I'm not sure if this damascus blade is really $90 better. The steel blade felt a lot smoother upon open and close, and I think it was even a little sharper. I am going to order a knife sharpener, and I'm sure the damascus will last longer, so I'm glad I made the upgrade. I think if you're looking for an amazing every day carry, the standard skeletool is a perfect candidate. This damascus upgrade is a tad expensive, but an outstanding knife all the same

Great tool/knife
I am overall pleased with my purchase. My only concern was a slight pattern deformity on the blade. A small portion of the design pattern looked smeared. Other than that, the quality is excellent. I was expecting the knife to be a little sharper. I sharpened it myself and it's now very sharp. This is an excellent EDC.

Love this tool. Super handy. Has just the right tools for a daily carry. Highly recommend. A bit over priced though.

5 star Leatherman 4 star blade
I couldn't justify buying such an expensive knife especially when I own the Leatherman skeletool CX (my EDC). But after my wife caught me drooling over this beauty she decided to get it for me. When I first received the tool I thanked her profusely, gave it a once over and proudly stuck it in my pocket. Upon further examination I've discovered a few flaws (nothing game breaking but flaws none the less).Negatives:1.) The damascus blade was wobbly out of the box (it wobbled back and forth when open and locked, also with the locking spring depressed, the blade would swing freely), I had to tighten the safety hex in order to get the correct tension feel for a sturdy feeling open/close action. Easily fixed, but a hassle.2.) The blade isn't the exact same dimensions as the factory 154cm leatherman blade. Instead it is slightly thinner and the thumb notch isn't in the exact same spot as the original allowing for some unwanted "wiggle" room. Of course after tightening this isn't an issue but still worth noting.3.) When opening/closing the blade seems to "grind" over it's multiple folds while swinging to either position. I'm sure this is because of its unpolished finish. (I'm hoping this roughness will smooth out with use)Neutral:1.) I'm not sure if this is common practice and therefor sought after so I wont put it in the negatives, but the blade feels rough to the touch. It's as though some of the folded metal has been eroded away with a chemical; accentuating the wavy damascus design. I'm not sure why anyone would do this as the pitting would easily allow rust to set in, and it leaves an unfinished feel with "rough" blade actuation. To each their own I supposePositive:1.) It looks pretty and seems very functional and long lasting.2.) This blade came sharper than any knife I have ever owned or sharpened myself. It's SHARP!!! easily shaves thick hair.3.) It's a Leatherman 'nuff saidOverall this was a great gift and I'll cherish it forever (I'm almost afraid to use it). As I previously stated, the negatives in this review aren't game breaking and the minor flaws don't ruin this tool by any means. Please note that I'm extremely picky when it comes to EDC (Every Day Carry). That being said, I do plan on giving this knife a run for its money and will update my review in a few months.
