I needed a new stepladder to provide access to my loft and to do jobs outside. It was difficult to select one from the many available.This company provided detailed dimensions of the height of the ladder, height of the platform etc. so I could make measurements and determine that I could store it easily as well as use it at the height I needed. Some other companies gave wrong or confusing information.The ladder itself has a lot more metal in it than my previous much cheaper item that had broken and become unsafe after 20 years of use.It is much sturdier and feels much safer and more stable than my old pair ever did so I am very pleased even though at the moment it is a little stiffer and slower to use.The doubling in weight is not an issue for me as the ladder is still light enough.I would say that depending on what you intend to use it for you may be able to justify stretching to the £141 asking price instead of the £50 or so for cheaper and wobblier ladders.On the other hand it's amazing that I managed with a cheaper item for 20 years! I only fell off once!For me this is worth the money as it is a well designed quality product.

Simply great. Brought this to replace a step ladder that had become dangerous. Sturdy with just the right height and angle at the top, for over reaching and has a good platform.

Solid, substantial and stable. Wide enough treads for comfort standing a long time.

These are very sturdy rigid aluminium steps. I feel confident to stand on the top platform (8 levels) which is firm and strong. A little wider at the base and the hinged side braces hold the structure very firmly in place with no wobble. When new, these steps are quite stiff in all the moving joints and I will keep them oiled to reduce wear. When closed the steps are 2.380 metres tall, so make sure you have space to store them! There's a lot of metal in these, but it is worth the cost to be safe.

junk!dont buy them from the used section as they aill arrive with one leg bent over at 90 degress and comnpletely unusable.
