I am usually a size eu 39 with 10 inch toe to heel, but the size chart says i'm size 9. and when i select size 9, the description says im size eu40.5?

I take my real shoe size 8 (American), and add a 1/2 size to that (now 81/2), and my Cortez's fit perfectly. I do not recognize the other sizing nomenclature. My entire family adds a half size with Nike brands. I hope this helps in some small way. P
