Best boots for the money
OK first off I wear my boots about 60 hours a week usually 12 hours a day or more. They are exposed to all types of weather diesel fuel oil grease you name it these boots. Are hands-down the best boots I’ve ever worn. They are comfortable right out of the box and if you have to walk on concrete or asphalt like I do the wedge soul is a game changer. For reference I wore Red Wings for over 20 years and they are not even in the same league.

Great Boots...Get them and break them in Properly.
I bought 10.5 wide steel toe. These are not going to be where you need them to be out of the box. If you have wide feet and want a good fit immediately they are not for you. I had to put LP leather conditioner on them and used a shoe stretcher at night for about two weeks to get them to fit correctly. After that they are extremely comfortable and become even more comfy as the leather molds to your feet. It's worth the investment in time and money to go with a shoe like this if you wear boots everyday. You can tell they are well built and will last years for average daily use.

Best shoes ive ever owned.
These shoes are awesome. Amazing steel toe they are required for my job, i get a TON OF COMPLIMENTS on them. Theyre the best looking at best material shoes ive ever had. The leather on these shoes smells so good. They are worth the money no doubt. People say these have no break in period? There is one but it is so comfortable that you will NOT NOTICE. The best thing is i have been wearing these to work for about 2 months. I sweat in them all day. I take them off: They still smell like straight LEATHER on the inside! they do not even stink they are amazing. Cannot recommend these enough. I am going to buy another pair just for myself to wear. Love these shoes!

Good American Work Boot.
Leather quality is definitely worth the price. Good American work boot. Gives me the protection and comfort I need working 60 hours a week.

Price Drop = Quality Control Issues, Poor Craftsmanship.
Update - BEWARE PRICE DROPS: I ordered two pairs of these boots when they went on sale for $50 off, and BOTH pairs were defective. They are clearly trying to unload pairs with imperfections and craftsmanship issues without advertising them as such. Do yourself a favor and buy these boots somewhere else.Original Review:I tried on multiple pairs in-store and every pair looked great, but the pair I received from Amazon had some really poor craftsmanship issues. One boot looked perfectly fine, but the leather upper on the other boot was all puckered and wrinkled around the stitching. Some of the stitching along the edges was a bit crooked, but the stitching at the END of that piece, where it comes to a square end towards the toe, was just a rats nest of stitching. Circled in my photos. Looking at the other boot for comparison, this was obviously a construction mistake by whoever built it, and they tried to pass it off as "fixed" by just adding more and more stitches to hold it all together.I understand these are work boots - they're going to take a beating and will never look brand new after the first wear - but spending $200-250 on a pair of boots is a big deal to me and I have no confidence that this boot is going to hold up to years and years of long shifts. If I already noticed a couple of craftsmanship issues just opening the box, what else is wrong with this boot that I'm NOT seeing? What I really don't like is that these exact boots (10 D in Tobacco) are somehow $50 cheaper than everywhere else, even the other sizes for sale here on Amazon, and coincidentally the pair I received was defective out of the box. Feels to me like Thorogood and Amazon KNOW that they have some sub-par, defective boots and are trying to unload them, hoping people don't notice or care because they're on sale. Here's hoping the replacement pair isn't also poor quality. I'm counting this one boot as a lemon, returning the pair for a refund, and buying another pair. I'll be sure to come back with an update either way.(Second pair was ALSO defective, have ALSO been returned. Huge waste of time)

Read this before you panic and send them back...
This is my first pair of Thorogood work boots. I have worn other brands of work boots in the different styles from pull-on & moc toe, non steel toe & steel toe, wedge / heel ect.. Some pairs where great, some where garbage...some lasted a couple years, some barely 6-9 months. I decided to try these from Thorogood and glad I did...but please read on. When I first tried them on they were quite uncomfortable and had some bad pressure points on the right boot - which felt a little tighter and narrower than the seemingly more spacious left boot. It was enough of a difference I double checked to confirm that they both were the wider EE size I ordered! I was a bit worried at that initial point that these were going to require a rough break in period...but I was very wrong. I took the (high quality) insoles out and wore them for a couple days without them. This solved the pressure points and tightness I initially felt from the right boot. I wore them for a day and then oiled them. Then wore them for a 2nd day. On the 3rd day put the insoles back in and they felt VERY comfortable...no tightness, pressure points or issues. At this point I knew I could wear them for an 8+ hour work day and would be enjoying having them on vs counting the hours/minutes to get them off. This worked for me so figured I would share it and maybe help other buyers - and the initial impulse to return these boots. Everyone's feet are different so this won't solve everyone's issues (especially those with wider EEE+ feet) but this made a night and day difference for me and made them wearable right away without the discomfort of a long break-in period. These are great boots and I am very happy with them so far. Will update if I have any issues. Hope this review helps!
