Very easy to direct into crevices and corners.
I've been wanting one of these for a few years to use with diatomaceous earth, but until now had made due with a coffee can that had holes poked in the lid. This is waaaaay better. Yes the coffee can is cheaper, but good luck trying to direct the sprinkle or get it near the wall where the ants are actually coming in. This duster didn't come with any instructions, but it only took a few minutes to figure out. Application: I was able to shoot the powder into some cracks in the edges of my room with no problem. It's incredibly easy to aim where I wanted the D.E. I found out quickly that it will shoot out a LOT of powder at once, when holding it vertically (spout coming out of the bottom). When flipping it vertically the other way, it came out in a very very fine stream. I ended up going with holding it horizontally so that I could get a medium stream of dust. The device is easy to compress when dispensing the dust, I didn't have to press hard. Filling: The hole is a little small, so I made a funnel out of a piece of paper, and poured the powder into that. I still got dust all over my hands, but at least I filled the duster quickly. Design: I like that this duster has a little cap on the end, so I can store it with the powder inside, and it won't accidentally get dispensed. The duster has a little rubber cork to keep it closed, that pops out easily. The cork fits well enough that it didn't pop out while I was applying the dust, however. This duster is exactly what I needed and works better than I expected. I like that I can vary the amount of powder dispensed so easily. Filling crevices with dust is so quick and easy with this tool.

I love this item
I'm fussy and particular and often am disappointed by products, but this one has delighted me. Okay, first it's made beautifully and feels nice in the hand. More importantly, it works exactly as described. I use it to puff clouds of cayenne pepper into the walls and ceilings of my lakeside summer cottage -- which is what has worked best, for me, getting rid of chipmunks and squirrels. Long story short, the cayenne discourages them without poisoning and killing them. I was doing this manually using straws but then found this product and ordered it. It came right away -- with no manual or anything but that's okay, I just used the internet description and in the end appreciate the fact I didn't have another piece of paper to throw away. You fill it halfway with your powder just like they say, shake it a little between "puffs" and it puffs a beautiful cloud of, in my case, 160,000 HU cayenne into small holes I drilled into walls and false ceilings of my vintage cottage. I am buying another unit so I have one for the future -- because you know how it is with products you love.

No house should be without one!
Great for occasional dusting in the garden and around the house. I had been attempting to use diatomaceous earth occasionally in the garden for a few years just sprinkling by hand, and it wasn't working too well. It took what I thought was a bedbug infestation (turned out it was ants invading our kitchen that were biting me) to convince me to buy one of these. It's not high tech but it's exactly what I need! When I finally noticed the stream of tiny ants walking along the edge of our black granite counter near the kitchen sink (right where I lean when washing dishes) and realized they were the root of my problem, I was able to trace their trail to its entry point and used this handy duster to apply DE there, which took care of that problem with one stroke. This is a very useful thing to have on hand.

So much better for CimeXa than the one everyone recommends!
I tried the leading bellows duster with CimeXa powder when a friend visited with her dog and left me with fleas. That little yellow and white plastic thingy worked poorly and didnโt hold up well. This product is much strongerโI donโt feel like itโs going to crack at any moment. More importantly, while the yellow and white plastic bellows frequently spewed powder in uncontrolled belches, this one allows me to actually deliver a โlight dustingโ as one is supposed to do with CimeXa (another phenomenal product, btw). Fighting a bug invasion is hard enough. Having to fight a dusting device as well is just crazy. I can strongly recommend this bellows duster as a way of saving a little bit of sanity!

Great duster
The duster exceeded my expectations. For $10.70 and free shipping I expected an easily breakable plastic item. Instead, the base is steel, the cap is solid rubber and the body also appears to be made of rubber. The included unclogging rod is also steel. I've only used the duster on one occasion so I can't say anything about how it holds up long term. Yellow jackets were building a nest in a void under some flashing over a second-story window. I usually wipe out nests in the ground with about 3 gallons of boiling water at night (works every time) but clearly impossible to do here. Before I received the duster I had already blown in some Drione using some plastic tubing and a bicycle pump repeatedly for several days but the bees didn't go away. By some combination of shaking and pumping, I was able to deposit Drione at the entrance as well as produce smoke (I didn't actually see the smoke because the tip was under the flashing but I don't see how smoke could not have been produced). No more bee activity after this, even though my Drione was 15 years old. I hope this duster helps someone else as much as it did me.

Nice duster for small jobs, good quality seals and spring.
This worked very well to dust food grade DE. However, I would recommend a mask if using indoors as it can distribute a very fine cloud of dust into the air as well as the dust it spreads onto the ground. This probably depends on how fine whatever dust is that you are using. I filled it up halfway using a funnel and then closed it up, it seals well and the nozzle cover is very nice too. It seems well build with a solid spring and good materials. Shaking the duster and pumping it quickly generated a lot of dust. It does get a little tiring on your hand if you have a lot to do, but for the price I'm not complaining. If someone had a ton of dusting to do, I might suggest something else, but for just around the house this works well.

"This thing is DA BOMB...literally and figuratively"...
Super easy to use and much better than throwing pebbles in the plastic squeeze bottle the boric acid typically comes in. The spout on those bottles typically "blows doors" so the powder isn't dispersed properly into a fine powdery mist. And if you don't achieve the powdery mist, roaches are going to step around your "snow drift". This item does achieve the powdery mist quite well. I give our condo a blast of it every 6 months or so in the roach related trouble areas because not everyone that lives in our condo building is living "clean". Such is life in communal living in SoCal.
