Well designed, if you have wide toes and a small ankle
I own 3 different bike shoes currently, and as of now these are my training shoes and will be my sprint triathlon shoes for the season.1. There are foot vents, and a open gap at the top of the shoes so your feet can dry off.2. The heel pull. It has a small notch so you can tie an elastic band onto them for quick mounts. Note, my heel locks well in these shoes but I have small heels, wide toes with a high arch.3. The anckle strap. The good- very secure, and the velcro hasn't started to fray. And it also locks into place fully extended so that way you can slip these on without a problem and sinch them down quickly. The bad- these shoes take away 5-10 degrees of ankle mobility when my feet are in a neutral position. If your have a aggressive foot angle then this will not be a problem, but if your heel likes to stay lower while riding then you will have to adjust the strap so it doesn't hinder your comfort and mobility.4. Toe strap is perfect, no complaints. It allows me so slip into my shoes comfortable and snug. Finally, these shoes have very stiff soles. And 6/10 for comfort, 10/10 for price to quality ratio and 8/10 for functionality.

Straps rub crank arms
The top velcro strap folds to the inside and it hits the pedal crank. Should be designed so strap folds to the outside. Seems that the shoe designer is not a triathlete or not using the product.

Great except for one big design flaw
My wife bought these for me for Xmas, at my request. The problem is that the outer edge of the shoe's large cross strap catches repeatedly on the pedal arms, causing it to loosen and curl back. It's maddening. I rode for years with a (much) older version of this shoe, and this didn't happen, and I really liked that the strap tightened from outside to inside unlike all other shoes ...a snugger, more logical design in my opinion. But the new version is more plasticized, so the strap is bulkier and less streamlined, such that now it doesn't always clear the pedal arms. After 6 months I can't stand it any longer, and will have to replace them. Sigh.

Horrible design.
Comes off when you peddle

A very good triathlon shoe. Lots of athlete friendly features.
I can't agree with some of the negative reviews here.In the first place, most dedicated triathlon shoes these days fasten in the reverse direction from road shoes. Makes it easier to put them on and also to tighten them while on the bike. With respect to the fastening/tightening strap hitting the crank arm, the strap does not come anywhere near the crank arm on my foot. I have a medium to high arch and wear a size D with. I can see where it might be possible, if you had a particularly low arch or a very narrow foot, that you might have excess strap to contend with. I watched a YouTube review wherein the reviewer said that he simply snipped off a bit at the end of his strap to avoid it coming into contact with the crank arm.Overall the shoe is nice looking well made, and extremely well ventilated. There is no tongue. Nothing to bunch up while putting the shoe on in the transition zone or while on the bike.My only issue, and it's not a total deal killer, is that I wear a size 9.5 and this is sold as a 9.5–10. I do have some excess room in the toe in these shoes. However, it does not seem to result in too much travel for my foot while in the shoe. In European sizes I wear a size 43. Inside the shoe, I can see these are marked as 44. I might order a pair in the 8.5–9 size in the hope that these are European size 43 and see what happens.

Nothing stiff about the sole
The sole is very flimsy. You can feel the cleat through the shoe. Don't waste your money on this shoe. Get a nicer one with a stiffer sole.
