Still the best!
The gold standard of quality and design in flashlights! Don't buy the cheapies at the box store, stick with MagLite. The build quality is excellent, the light is very bright and even and there are three modes you can set for different use cases. Sure, these lights cost a bit more, but you will have them forever and they will hold up under even the toughest conditions. We have these in the house for emergencies, in the go bag in case of fire evacuation and in the garage for general use. MagLite can't be beat!

Super bright LED spotlite setting.
Wasn't too sure about the brightness of an LED light, but this light blew me away. Spotlight is great with no dark spots and solid light field. Being able to set different brightness levels is nice wit the brightness coming on first. Hate it when it is the other way around. Also having custom group settings is good as the momentary setting works best for me as the first setting so I don't accidently bump it on and not know it. Great product from Maglite as usual.

I've bought other brands and always come back to Maglite.
These are wonderful flashlights. We've had older models for decades without issue. Will always buy Maglite. I loved the red because it's easier to see if I accidentally set it down somewhere and leave it. It's easy to use and batteries last forever when not in use. They light up an area extremely well.

It's A Maglite! A perfect combination of brightness and skulldrudgery
It's a Maglite! Nothing but precision and functionality. The only disadvantage is the rechargeable batteries are so light it feel like I am carrying a whiffle bat instead of a serious skull crusher. I suppose I will need some Duracell before attending the Antifa national assembly in West Palm Beach.

Not the dimensions of the original Mag-Lite, may be good enough though
This is not the original Mag Lite 3-cell specification. The flashlight is considerable lighter in weight due to thinner metal, about 3/4" shorter and a smaller diameter. Its plenty bright but the switch has a less solid "click" when turning off or on. Overall seems like a cheaper build.

"old" D cell end cap size is different. Things for that won't work on this.
Good torch. Be aware, the thread size and diameter of the rear cap is just different enough that any kit for the original D cell torches won't work. Can't help but think it was deliberate.
