BabymoovYOO Moov + 2 x USB plugs

This review is more about the excellent customer service that I have received from Claire at Babymoov. I misplaced a part for my camera and while willing to purchase a new part, Claire recognised that they do not sell them separately and has gone out of her way to source the part for me and have it shipped from France, free of charge (well she hasn’t asked for anything yet!). This means that we can now move baby into her own room without having to find a makeshift way to fit the camera to the wall. Peace of mind due to a first class customer service experience. Will definitely purchase Babymoov products in future and recommend to friends.

I wanted to write an up to date review as I wish I’d known this before we purchased! The babymoov looks great, it has a lovely hand held monitor and I like the camera although my husband thought it was very cheap looking for the amount that you pay. My biggest issue and the reason we had to send it back is that the audio is terrible. We couldn’t hear our daughter crying even though the monitor was right in front of us and we had no tv or music on. We tested the 2 way function also and couldn’t hear each other speaking so she would never be able to hear us if we wanted to settle her via the camera. Yes it has VOX meaning the camera comes on when she cries but I found myself constantly looking at the screen to see if it had turned on. This also meant that we couldn’t hear her at night. The second complaint would be that when you play the music on it, it plays through both the camera and the monitor which is quite annoying.If they could sort out the audio meaning we could actually hear our baby cry, this would be a great product. I really can’t believe this is such an issue with the price tag that it holds.

We had no prior experience with any baby monitors so originally we thought the sound volume was faulty as it is really low and we not convinced about the range was that great. However before we returned it we purchased a very well know competitors which was the same specification as the Babymoov, 360 pan, not wifi, same stated range etc. This was so awful it made the Babymoov look first class and change opinion fully. The other monitor could not compete with the Babymoovs range and picture and shockingly sound. Picture is brilliant especially the night vision and the screen is a compact handy size. We have also got used to the sound volume it is always on the highest setting but is a good background sound.

For our first child we have used a bt video monitor without any issues for 5 years. For child number two we regrettably went for this. Picture quality is brilliant and the menu on the parent monitor fantastic. However the sound quality makes this absolutely pointless to use as a baby monitor. The microphone at the top of the camera barely picks up any sound in the room unless you are stood over it and if the music is playing you haven't got a hope of hearing anything at all. Wish we had not wasted our money one this. For a premium price this is not a premium product.

This monitor is genuinely silent(well, very quiet) when moving, which is good. The picture quality and battery life in the handheld are very good compared to our previous monitor. We’ve been using it for a few months now and I’m happy with it.The biggest downside is a strange annoyance - the micro USB ports on the camera and the handheld do not seem to be a standard size. Every cable I have tried refuses to fit unless O get a knife and trim down the plastic surrounding the metal connector. Not a show stopper, but a confusing design choice.

Like some people have mentioned the sound can be on the quiet side as the speaker is on the back and is quite small but overall the quality is great. We've had issues with charging mainly - the cables do seem to not go in well and like others said you can't seem to use alternatives because they have wider rubber bits. But the cables provided are very long at least.Otherwise the reach across a large house and even garden is good if you don't want a wifi/phone based monitor. Picture quality is good too.Customer care via whatsapp has advised us to remove battery to reset once before, and I will now need to contact them again as we are getting the same issue. My daughter is not even a year old yet so don't feel the quality is there with battery life and sounds like a known issue. Very frustrating.

When I brought this product I was not completely happy with the quantity of the night vision or the sound. But I thought I would give it a go as it had excellent pan and tilt range. That was a big mistake. After two months, this camera as stopped panning two the left. This makes it hard to check on both babies who sleep in the same room. Also, the battery is not charging as well as it use to and the running down even quicker.I definitely expected better quality for the price I was paying.

1. The power button to the back of the camera is quite bright and we notice our little one is distracted by it. We have to put a cloth over it to dim the light;2. The volume is low so if the little one makes noise, cries etc its not vey loud and easy to hear unless the monitor is very close to you;3. The camera doesn't come with a USB plug and it states in the instruction that these are not provided bemused most people have spare ones? If this was the case, how would one know whether the plug is safe to use with the compliance?4. It is quite bulky and wall mounting it, well it just looks ugly, like its meant to send on a flat surface but you have tried to nail to the wall.
