I purchased this Bluetooth dongle to allow me to stream podcasts to my car stereo. My head unit doesn’t support audio streaming over Bluetooth, only phone calls are supported.Positives.1. The first thing to say is this unit accomplished this perfectly and I’m now able to stream music and audio from my phone to my car stereo over Bluetooth with this unit in receiver mode.2. The unit itself is easy to configure so I was up and running in minutes.Negatives3. The unit itself feels really cheap and plasticky.4. It doesn’t switch itself on when power is restored to its USB port as the car ignition is switched on.I have this in my glove compartment and it’s permanently plugged into a USB charging port so I have no use for the battery function of this device and I haven’t tested the battery functionality.The dongle also has the ability to be used as a Bluetooth transmitter. As yet I haven’t tested this feature.In summary, I can’t really fault the unit at this price point, it does exactly what I wanted it to and it accomplished this well.

Bought this to connect my phone to the car aux socket. ( Combination of car too old for decent Bluetooth and phone too new for headphone socket!)Connects easily, good sound quality for podcasts, can't comment on phone calls.Now bought a second foe using headphones when walking.

on/off button broke after a dozen uses

On the upside, this arrived partially charged and was pretty quick and straightforward to set up. It easily switched between transmitting and receiving. Battery life was fair.On the downside, it feels very cheap and plasticky, and it just wasn't up to the job of allowing use of bluetooth earbuds to watch DVDs in the car. Unfortunately, the audio through this transmitter was delayed to the extent that the sound didn't align with the picture. We tried disconnecting and reconnecting a few times, stopping and starting the DVD, etc, but couldn't get it to work well enough. Returned, and we will see if an alternative transmitter works better...

My 35 year old hi-fi sounds great now. Phone-controlled music straight to the amplifier - perfect! Lasts ages on single charge.

I bought this over a year ago but ended up not needing it so have just opened the package for the first time, stupidly. It only works through one earphone, it initially kept changing between the two - I think with me pushing buttons but no clue how to make it play through both at the same time. Both earbuds are on, and the one that my laptop audio isn't playing through keeps beeping which is irritating, the sounds that indicates that it's ready to connect. So both are working, but one is beeping while the other plays the audio that both should be playing. Had I opened this within 30 days I'd have returned it. It's a pity as the sound itself is good -although I supposed that's down to the buds more than anything.
