Only one of my computers has tb3, others do not. will this function at all on a usb-c port that is not tb3?

No, it will only work on TB3 ports.

Is there a way to easily disable the clone function to avoid unintentionally cloning?

Is not easy to start the cloning process you need to press and hold the cloning button for 3 seconds and the USB cable needs to be unplugged.

Is this bootable as an external enclosure for m1 macmini running big sur?

It is a bootable external drive for any M1 Mac. Use the latest iteration of Big Sur (11.5.2).

Can this operate bus powered? or… can it be powered from another usb-c port or charger. or does it have to use the power brick, no other option?

Thanks for the feedback. I am sure many are considering the RAID option. Could you please share some actual transfer rates? 1,500 would not be great using 3,000 MB/S x 2. Would expect close to 5,000 MB/S. Thanks.
