Q: How do you perform a factory reset?

On the back of all Phorus products, to the right on the power input, is a small reset button. Simply pressing this button will produce a single tone, and the unit will power cycle. Holding the button for 5 seconds until you hear two consecutive tones will clear its memory and cycle it back to an out-of-box state (software updates will remain), which is what is known as the factory reset. If you have any further questions or need more specific assistance, head to the Phorus website support portal or send us an e-mail.

Q: What is the real spec difference between this and the PR1 model?

This model supports 5ghz. The pr1 only supports 2.4ghz. The pr5 allows for you to group speakers together in party mode on spotify and other aps. The pr1 does not support speaker grouping. I lose connection on my pr1 monthly. Ive never lost connection with the pr5.

Q: Can I notice a delay in the audio of the speakers from a Home-theather receiver connected to the phorus and other play-fi speakears playing?

It depends on the receiver. I had a Yamaha RX-V381BL Receiver and there was a delay. I have two other Yamaha R-S202BL Stereo Receiver 2 channel and a Sony 2 channel amp that do not have a delay. I believe it’s the digital processing inside the RX-V381 that caused the delay. I just replaced my Yamaha 5.1 with an Onkyo TX-NR595 receiver with built in playfi.

Q: What is the voltage of this product?

Mine has an external power-supply using standard US 2-pin plug-type. The power-supply has the following ratings:INPUT: 100 - 240 VAC OUTPUT: 12 VDC / 2 Amps
