A: As long as both connections are made, then yes

A: You need a mic cable from mic to booster and a cable from booster to which ever kind of interface/mixer/etc you will be using. Yes it will work with your MV7

**Q: This mic booster is making my vocals distorted...and its at a low volume. im using a sm58 mic. can anyone enlighten me before i decide to return?**
A: Check your levels. You may have too much gain

**Q: Does this cloudlifter work on a logitech blue sona and has anyone used it with one and how does it sound? i know the sona has a built in one**
A: I dont have the Sona so I can not anwer. however it does well with SMB7

and I just wish their availability was better. A good alternative to a Cloudlifter type devices. That said, I'd advise buying a USB sound device with decent gain, especially if you are using a certain Shure mic that is famously gain hungry... yes, I'm looking at podcasters!

Using this with an SM7B, and it's resolved the issues with it's extremely low output for a fraction of the cost of a cloud lifter.

I originally purchased the cloud lifter to use with my SM7B. Mainly because it was what was recommended by friends of mine and in YouTube videos. I just stumbled across this in my Amazon recommended by pure accident. And immediately was sceptical considering the price.After doing a little bit of research on it, I realized that it actually does as good a job as the cloud lifter, which is more than five times the price.It actually provides more boost then the cloudlifter does! Of which all of the boost is nice and clean, just like the cloud lifter.You do not need to buy the cloud lifter, you will get just as good results with this instead and you'll save yourself a lot of money in the process.- Excellent build quality- Smaller size- Higher boost (cloudlifter is UPTO +25db, the CM-1 feels more like actual +25db)- Clean gainAfter testing it myself, I ended up selling my cloud lifter. If you have a high end microphone and need a little bit of a boost, get this instead of a cloud lifter.My setup -Focusrite Scarlet v2Shure SM7BCM-1
