I am beyond pleased with both the quality and design of this wall plate! Elegant, yet understated, it fits in seamlessly with our decor. My wife and I were going for a classic looking bedroom with a touch of french provincial. These wall plates compliment our gilded mirror very nicely, and the beading matches our crown moulding perfectly!Obviously, they are very easy to install, and the quality is far better than your usual wall plate. It is important to note, that these are not actually antique, nor are they made of brass. They are made of zinc, and the finish is imitated. That said, you're going to pay a LOT of money for true vintage/antique hardware and this is an excellent alternative. I should also point out that the color is very similar to what I see on my screen (then again, I'm a photographer and have professional calibration tools) - these plates are definitely not padlock/tuba brass color. If you find that they are too gold for your tastes, you can always use something called Liver of Sulfur - a trick of the trade for designers looking for a quick antique look! Liver of Sulfur Patina Oxidation Gel I would highly recommend ANY of these tumbled brass plates - my wife and I LOVE them!

I was a little hesitant about ordering this switch cover. The usually helpful zoom feature made it look like they overdid the scratching in the center and that it would look over distressed. But then I thought, "What the heck, it's just a light switch plate" and ordered it anyway. I'm really glad I did. The scratches are faint and not too deep, just enough to make it look a little aged. It is very handsome and looks great with the oiled bronze fixtures I just put in my bathroom as part of a remodel. This is a Victorian house, so the beading, so popular for door hardware as well in that era, looks totally authentic.If you have a modern bathroom and want a bronze switch a simple one with an unscratched, polished center would be a better choice. But for a vintage or classic look this really makes it. It's also heavy, solid and well made. It was slightly wider than my old cover (which was 2 3/4 inches) but it sits on top of its mounting so that doesn't matter. If you have a recessed frame be sure to measure (this is 3 1/8 inches wide). The screws align to the standard holes.

Excellent quality switch plate cover. The design has a beaded border around the plate and if you look closely you can see the brush marks or scratches that show the lighter color through the bronze finish. They go really well with the other bronze fixtures in our home and match our decor perfectly. They add class to the home and we tried to order them for every switch on the main level. We considered switching out the switches to darker ones instead of white, but we decided we like the white more and it saved us the hassle and money. The screws are dark and match the bronze so the only white you see is the actual switch. There are a couple we just need to clean and replace but will stick with white. Overall we love these c

I can be a little fussy. I don't like those cheesy, plastic 15-cent light switch covers. I mean, people spend a lot of money for paint, furniture, lighting fixtures, etc. and then leave on the cheapest-possible switch covers. I sort of see the metal in my house as my rooms' jewelry!! ha ha!! So I like nice handles, knobs, escutcheon plates, etc. My house is old and has some of the original brass hardware, but there are places it is missing. THIS fit the bill nicely! (I also have the  BRAINERD 3 gang model .Installation was simple, just two screws. I did think the color of the screws was a little dark. It looked more like the edge color than the field...but very close. Also, my screws were long. I have never had switch plate screws that long. It usually wouldn't matter, and even here it didn't matter...exepct for 2 holes (in the 3-gang one) where it hit the wire underneath. To be fair it was a 3-way switch so there was extra wire in there. I did have some old brass ones from some long-forgotten plate (I save screws sometimes in a coffee can!) and switched them out.I really like it, especially when your hand hits it and you feel the solidness of it, not plastic.

I originally ordered a different style and from a different seller which I had to return because it had a very deep scratch right down the middle.. I'm so glad I came across this one because this one is more beautiful and I like that it's a little darker. I ordered other covers but this one arrived first so hopefully there will be no defects or problems with the others because this is a very beautiful style, nicely made and I love that the provided screws are the same color. I look forward to receiving my other ones and highly recommend. Very happy!!

Package was partly open and the included screws were not to be found. Since switch plates always come with screws, I expected there would be some. I found some among my other screws for switch plates, so that was easier than I expected. It is a very nice item, solid and heavy.

Good quality, look fantastic! slightly larger than the standard plastic ones that I was replacing so keep this in mind if you are replacing ones that are adjacent to a back splash or door trim or something that may keep this from fitting but WOW, I am so happy with them!
