Floops Slip and flip Squishy Toy-Picked at Random

At £5 this toy is SUPERB value for money!Not only is it two toys in one, as you flip it inside out to get another squishy animal, but the characters are super cute and sparkly. My son and daughter (4 & 7) had so much entertainment from playing with hers, that we had to get them another one so they could have one each.They also make a fantastic resource for sensory seekers. I have sensory and anxiety issues and find it immensely soothing to sit squishing this continuously from from one appearance to the other.The only minor quibble I have here is that you can't choose which one you get, so you could end up with multiple of the same squishy. Which wouldn't be that bad... they ARE all super cute!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I got this for my daughter who is 6. What you get is random but we got a pink squishy with a pink heart on its front. It is a small shiny (metallic looking) character with small ears, arms, legs and a tail. It’s made of a spandex type material with the face and limbs sewn onto it. It’s tubular, and I’m fairly sure it has water inside it. When pushing your finger up or down the middle of it will turn it inside out and the character changes! Ours changed into a rainbow multicoloured squishy with a silver star on its front.I must say the idea is fantastic. Essentially a two in one allows my daughter to change it whenever she wants. She loves it, and it’s almost like a stress reliever or fidget toy. There is something satisfying about changing the character inside out, and it feels a bit strange but quite nice to squeeze it in your hands.It seems well made, a small fray to one of the stitches but apart from that it is quite strong and I don’t feel like it will break easily. The only thing I think might happen is it’s tail might come off, but as for the main body and stitching I think it will be fine. There is a large label attached to it which can just be chopped off (with carefulness).All in all I’m happy with this, especially for the £5 price tag this is good and would make a great stocking filler. My daughter loves it and although it’s not exactly a role play type character toy, it’s more of a fidget stress reliever type of toy. It’s quite satisfying, even I like playing with it. 5/5.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from my Floop but the best way I can describe it is..have you ever had one of those water toys from an aquarium and you squish them and they have plastic fish in? Well it’s exactly like that but it’s a toy character. It’s a clever idea I can remember having a stuffed toy as a child that turned inside out into another character and I loved it.This Floop sadly has a few marks on its face like black dots, I’ve photographed them I’m hoping I can sponge clean them out. It also has a line indentation as if it’s been squashed or had an elastic band around it at one point. I’m sure with play this will come out of it, but it added to a not so good first impression. The tail on the red bird character has stuffing coming out of it which I’m sure I’ll be able to pull off but it shouldn’t have been there and wouldn’t look too good if giving it as a gift.The toy itself feels nice, it is an excellent sensory toy as you can feel the water inside and can squeezed and play with it in your hands. It’s quite simple to push into the toy and it slips over itself and reveals your second character. I can imagine this being very like a fidget toy.Overall a good toy let down by a few dirty spots and stuffing coming out, that aside I think once cleaned up this will be something my daughter plays with a lot as it’s quite different to anything else she has.

I chose to order one of these ‘Floops’ as a fun gift for my niece and she loves it, as do all the adults who have picked it up too!!It is 2 distinct characters that change as the Floop slips through your hand and flips to the opposing character.Each character feels and looks completely different and my niece thinks it’s hilarious to watch the character changing as the toy moves.These toys are designed for children aged 4 and above and this is understandable as they feel like they are filled with a liquid although I could find nowhere that it stated what this actually is.The only downside is that it has absolutely no packaging at all, which is a real shame as I think it would make a lovely gift but without packaging it makes it look secondhand and it isn’t a ‘cheap cheap’ toy at £6.74 at the time of reviewing. If it has packaging I think the price point would be perfect and it would make a lovely stocking filler, but I have removed a star because of this lack.Overall I like the concept and think that it is definitely a fun toy especially ideal for using as a sensory toy or fidget toy, however as there is no explanation of what it’s filled with and no packaging I feel that it only deserves 3 stars.I hope you have found this review helpful.
