O.K. I'd read all of the reviews, especially the negative ones, and still chose to buy this one (Amazon has a great return policy, just in case). Unlike the negative reviews, mine was not rusted, it did not leak grease, did not have defective hardware and was packaged very well. My first usage was to turn a size 13 coin ring into a size 4 - my first time using such a tool I should add. It worked great! The rest of the day, my daughter and I took turns cranking out rings of various sizes with no issues. I learned that when using the stretcher, it's best not to try to go full swing with the lever but stop at vertical, pull it back, turn the ring 1/4 turn and repeat (otherwise mine tends to bind up when the lever is pushed past vertical). This unit beats paying over $400 dollars for the Cadillac models IMHO.

I’m so impressed with how the stretcher worked. I was nervous to use it on this beautiful ring that belonged to my mother as the shank was pretty thin already. But it didn’t take but a light press to just it perfect on the first try. So happy!

I was a little skeptical about purchasing this ring stretcher/reducer because it was so inexpensive, however I feel that it is very good quality, no roughness inside the ring reducers or on any of the metal, and the ring stretcher is absolutely perfect and high quality as well. I especially love the fact that you can stretch a very tiny ring, as I have watched video where a YouTuber purchased one and you can only stretch larger rings as the tip was too large to fit a small ring on it. It is very easy to use and seems just a nice as the expensive ones. I highly recommend as you can't go wrong, especially if you are just starting out or on a budget. Don't hesitate, just buy it, you won't regret it!

I like this ring sizer so far. The handle did come loose, but I caught it before it ruined the threading. I used some Loctite and problem solved. I would advise people to do this before it comes loose.

Pleasantly surprised! Would purchase this again but I doubt I'll have to as it's very well made and will likely outlive me. I was surprised at how heavy it was! If you need this tool do not hesitate. Just get it. It works and is 1/4 the price of some "name brand" units.

Like the headline says, I got this because I decided to start a new hobby, and the ability to fix the rings my family and I have made sure that this tool paid for itself fairly quick. Being able to resize, as well as being able to restore rings to a proper circle for wearing was the biggest draw to this tool. Dead easy to use, and the only thing I would change about how I use it would be to bolt it down, but since that isn't currently an option, I use part of the box it came in to save my countertops.

I bought one previous from the same vendor on Amazon. It worked well until the hand held lever broke. It is cheaper in price compared to others. I ended up buying another one from the same vendor

Works great for resizing ring shanks, only suggestion would be the ring sizing measurements on the mandrel itself are not correct, so need to compare against an accurate mandrel. Go slow and work your way up/down to correct size
